Drove it work today, couldn't detect any problems...I'm SO relieved :)
No I wasn't on a hijack cause I'm a big newbie ;) It was a knockhill track day school and I do recommend it, got some good instruction and then half an hour to try our own thing. There were only 8 cars and we had the place...
I was out on the track for the first time today at a "track day school". We had a half hour open session at the end and I was on my last lap of the day. For some reason I had lost focus and I think I let go of the power on a corner and *snap* I'm sideways. I try to correct but I get snapped the...
You mean I can't go over at 40mph? ;) There is one set in particular that I have to go over every week, and I can't get over them if I have someone in the back seat. I find if I go over to the other side of the road and go over diagonally that helps.
But what your saying about setting the ride...
Well I'll have the car on track for the first time on tuesday, so I guess I'll see a different side to it then
I was pondering suspension.....the problem is I have already scraped the underside of my car twice on speed bumps with stock suspension. It's even worse with passengers in the...
The modding bug has finally got me :) I was thinking of the following (for my 182 cup)....
AWT inlet manifold
BBPT decat, out soon and claims to not make the emisions light come on.
Cat back system, thinking pro speed pref. not too loud!
Panel filter, not sure if this is worth while?
And a...
My 182 had a bad creaking noise from new, sounded like an old piece of wood (best I can describe)?? My dealer fixed it by replacing the rotary switch and another component, which I can't remember, behind the wheel. Steering also feels better when driving, bit more "meaty".
I think what he is trying to say is that he wants to play a game on his own network just with the 2 PCs he has (rather than on the net). So you won't have to fiddle with router settings in this case. Zonealarm will most likely be blocking the necessary traffic between the 2 computers.
It's not as difficult as it's being made out to be ;)
If you already have a router and you're running XP you should be ready to go.
First you need to names of the machines. To do this, right click on my computer, goto properties. Then select the computer name tab. Note this down for both...
Again I think even dabs have pulled their socks up recently. My last RMA a few weeks ago took 3 working days from start to finish to resolve. They collected the item at their expense, tested the item and refunded it 3 days later. I also returned something under distance selling regs as I'd...
Ebuyer seems to be a mixed bag, personally I've had no serious problems. I think they have made serious efforts in the last few months to improve their customer service, they even have a phone number now so you don't have to use the dismal enotes system. They even gave me a full refund on a...
Interesting...I could well be interested in this. So you would send me a pre modded part, I would fit it, and send you my "old" one? How much would this skin me? I would assume from a warranty/insurance point of view it's a non-issue as nobody would be able to tell (and you aren't fitting non...
The following have top drawer customer service:
www.kustompcs.co.uk
www.cpucity.co.uk
www.svp.co.uk (probably best if your after cd/dvd writing gear)
I think www.komplett.co.uk is also worth a look. I avoid www.overclockers.co.uk at all costs.
Black cars waxed up look really good. Like they are sucking in all the light from round about like a black hole. Wish I could fit my car in the garage like you, I washed mine today then it started to rain :dapprove:
If your after a firewall, I would plonk down the cash and buy a broadband router. They are so cheap these days and are very effective at keeping the trash out. Save you running and maintaining another piece of software.
Norton and McAfee are over engineered pieces of software IMO. They sap lots of memory and require loads of background processes, I generally avoid them wherever possible. They are aimed at saturday afternoon joe who is browsing for the "best" antivirus at PC world.
I would recommend NOD32...
Using a US proxy server should fool it. Go to tools->internet options->connections->lan settings. Tick use proxy server and put in the details. If you google a bit you should find sites that have the IPs of free proxy servers. All sounds a bit shady though :S
You can use mismatched drives. e.g. if you set up a mirror with a 160gb and 100gb drive then your raid container will be 100gb. The extra 60 on the other drive is wasted. The other advantage of doing this would be that you don't have to worry about keeping images up to date.
Fake, probably from nigeria. You'll notice the poor english and when you hover on the link it points to aol somewhere. I get tons of them. If in doubt you can forward it to spoof@paypal.com and they will tell if it's fake or not.
I came back to my 1.2 one day just as a girl was trying to park one of those mini people carrier things. She had managed to wedge it against the rear corner of my car and she was kind of stuck. Looked like she was going to cry when I showed up! No real damage and she was nice looking so I let...
