I went the ethernet cable route as well. My mate is a sparky and made me up a 30M cable which I've ran all round the house so my housemates now hate me, especially when I'm on Live and everyone else's Internet slows to a crawl!
Not necessarily. I've got a 16GB and it's almost full just with apps and photos/videos (although there are hardly any videos). Just depends on whether you want to use it as an iPod as well, I suppose.
Re: MBP RAM & Hard Drive
I've just done a quick check and apparently the 13"s can take 12.5mm drives, so ignore my last comment.
I'd check eBay first, then maybe somewhere like Amazon or possibly eBuyer. I've just bought a 500GB for my 2008 White MB and Amazon were the cheapest I could find.
Re: MBP RAM & Hard Drive
Have you got a 13" MPB or bigger? I'm pretty sure the 13" drives have a max height of 9.5mm, so the biggest that can be put in one of them is a 500GB drive, whereas the 15 and 17s accept 12.5mm drives which go up to 1TB.
Re: iMac? Any good?
Processors weren't really that hot 5 years ago so I suspect it will seem pretty slow compared to modern day Macs.
OS X 10.5.8 is Leopard, not Snow Leopard.
To get the 1mil achievement just set turn on invincibility, bottomless clip, set all the enemies to elite generals and use the rocket launcher. Took me just over half an hour.
