A Seat ibiza splitter looks pretty cool as well. IMHO I think the Seat one looks better. Plenty of people have fitted splitters its no big deal. Youd actually be surprised how easy it is. A bit out of the middle a couple of vs cut in the plastic where it has to wrap round the bumper, self...

Have a mate with a yellow 172 and yes IMHO they are the best colour and yes I have seen the one for sale on the forum. Just dont know if I fancy something a bit different.
Seems a lot easier to get power gains out of the civic too!
Thinking about changing cars and am undecided. My mate works at a honda main dealer and says the CTR is a fantastic car and very reliable. He has only had 2 come back with faults. Unlike it seems almost every Clio.
If you were in my position what would you buy? Please dont say mk2 clio...
Its what happens on track days, simple as.
When me and my mates go we take a recovery lorry with us (my mate works for a recovery company) so if the worst does happen we can get the car home, or drop it off 20 miles down the road and say it happened there. Obviously wouldnt work with big...
It is not something for the faint hearted thats for sure. You have to have total respect for the bike or else it will have you off, simple really.
Weird sensation at 120mph tho, when you open her up and you pop the front up. Thats where it catches you out. The front needs a couple of bags of...
just phoned him and he said its its 162.8 @ the wheel. my mistake.
Ill post a pic of it later and see if I can steal his dyno printout to scan in.
R1 with single swingarm and underseat pipes, lovely. Amongst hundreds of other mods.
My mates race prepared R1 (track bike) which produces 162bhp @ the fly. It is now all road legal ready for summer and guess who has unlimited use of it
Same old, same old.
1 person expresses a view, which they are entitled to do, and everybody who disagrees throws there toys out of the pram, tries to alienate them and suggests they leave the forum!!!!
VERY grown up! I think NOT.
being a engineer i polished all the bits i could on my car, in the end though i got so fed up of cleaning them ive left them for over a year now, so its back to original condition. :(
My m8 has a pink vr6 supercharged with Nos which produces 450bhp. He was at trax last year at silverstone (about 12 sessions) out performing everything, even overtaking scoobys on corners. It doesnt take a lot to get one handling well!

You didnt beat him!
He obviously has a bit of consideration and thinks of the consequences of driving like a tit. To be fair you wouldnt of stood a chance at the claimed speeds anyway. I know this for a fact as my sister has a vr6 and they pull like a train.
Keep driving that way and you and...
* Exhaust Rattles underneath and is catching gearlinkage causing reverse to be difficult to engage (i doubt this is a warranty jobby)
Wasnt this a problem you encountered after fitting your scorpion exhaust? Wont be covered by warranty. (id be interested to know coz im about to buy a scorpion...
3mm wont make any difference, trust me.
As for m/cing your wheels then youll just end up back where you started. Scrubbing out. If anything you want material put on.
Rockport,
It improves handling for the simple fact you have a wider track. Admittedly if you space wheels out silly amounts...
LOL @ Rob
The stresses and strains are a lot less then you think mate, especially if your only going 3-5mms. getting different manufacturers tyres gives you a bigger margin for error than that. I had 7mm spacers on for 18months and never had any trouble.
Hub concentric spacers:-
You...
Rob
I got a quote yesterday for original phase 2 rims from a place in milton keynes and it works out at £40 + VAT per wheel. They also do a 3 day turnaround.
Scott
3mm spacers will be fine with standard nuts I spaced my wheels out 3mm. BUT any more and it gets expensive because you have to start buying hub concentric wheel spacers, (although being a engineer I made my own. ;)) longer wheel nuts and longer locking nuts, not cheap!!!
If you want 3mm ones...
Do it, I had 16s on my car, but still noticed how much better it drove with the original phase 2s on there. Put your standard wheels back on today and go give it some stick. I think you will be pleasantly surprised with the difference.
Scott
A whole new roof is the only way to go. My friend who works in a body shop did it to his mk1 fiesta rst conversion, said he wouldnt drive a car with a panel welded in place as its 60% weaker than when it had the sunroof. A new roof also makes a much tidier job. If a jobs worth doing its worth...
