Nitromorse takes f**king ages!
Best off just giving the current finish a good roughing for the paint to stick to if you're not fussed about a concours finish
I paid £30 but obviously it depends on the garage, I was a regular customer.
As said most people swap the entire shaft but I've had no issues with my replacement gaitor
Just seen this on Wheeler Dealers.
Basically does the same as the bottles of Redex but more thoroughly and can half CO and HC.
Anyone had this done or work at a place that does it?
So if the lights still illuminate its more likely to be a fuse? I haven't managed to find a blown fuse yet but saying that I've been pretty busy so haven't had a really thorough look.
Any suggestions on fuses to check?
I bought one on eBay from that listing. Tbh I'd rather let them make on me because it would cost me more than their profit to get to a skoda dealership
Ball joints are fairly easy to change, just remember to support the hub with a jack or something because if it drops against the suspension arm you can end up with a torn outer cv boot
Can't get ball joint only from Renault, it comes with the entire arm iirc. That one should be fine, grab some plugs while you're there and change them, see if it sorts it?
Ball joints available from Euro Car Parts for around £15.
CV boots are available but most people don't like to change them and would rather do the full driveshaft, they can be done though as I had mine done.
Easier way to do the 2 side ones is to remove the wheel arch linings, you can also clean behind the skirts while these are off too which is another root cause of the leaking.
Re Centre Hole : I can't find this, has anyone got any easy tips on finding it?
Thanks
As above, not working at all, have had issues with water getting into the car, thought I had this sorted but as we're getting pretty bad rain this week there's water getting in somewhere and I believe it's got into the wiring of the control panel some how and damaged it.
The control panel...
That's what I'm in the process of doing at the minute, once it's up and running my Ibiza will be coming off the road to be sorted and modded, loads easier doing work when it's not your daily drive, if you get stressed you can leave it until you've calmed down, no rushing to get it done so it can...
Gonna have to do this centre hole today, thought I'd got everything sorted with the 2 side holes and rear bump stops but no, went down this morning to find a 1cm puddle (I have no carpets or foams) so obviously the centre one needs doing!
What a pain in the arse this is turning out to be!
Will be doing this centre hole tomorrow, easily way to do the 2 side holes is to remove the arch liners and do them from there, while they're off clean just inside the side skirt as these can clog up with mud/leaves etc and not drain out, there's a hole behind the side skirt and if enough water...
Where is the centre pipe?
Currently got all of my carpets, seats, door cards, boot parts all out of the car sorting any leaks and giving everything a good clean while its out.
Done my passenger and drivers side blockages and boot leak, just this left now.
Thanks
