Was it ordered on F&F though or is it a normal purchase. I suspect the reluntance to give discounts on these cars is because the majority of them have been purchased on F&F. I bet 6 months down the line there will be loads of them up for sale by employees looking to make a tidy profit.
Thats one of things i didnt like about the cup its light rear jumping about on bumpy corners.
I dont think its a marketing exercise otherwise it would have been made in unlimited numbers to sell as many as possible. They used ragnotti to develop it (maybe they should have named it after him...
Might be wise going to the local library and taking out one of those Which Consumer law guides, they have sample letters in there that you can send out and also explain the whole process of making claims.
Goto citizens advice perhaps. First write them a letter (cc renault uk) saying what you want and the fact that their policy contravenes consumer statute being sale of goods act 1979 and the new eu amendments - fit for purpose, also perhaps misrepresentation being a false statement of fact about...
My second visit to try and get a bit of discount off a trophy down my local showroom the salesman told me i was wasting his time. After he even locked the car up so we couldnt look inside it so we just walked out. Didnt even let me sit in it, even maranello egham let me and my mate sit in...
I think the salesman term is "TADT Sir or Madam" (they all do that). Or both of mine did anyway - knocks, squeaks, leaks, whistles, funny smells. Remedy is to turn the radio up or be of victim of the aftersales experience.
I asked for a discount if i purchased it there and then, and the salesman said that no discounts are available and also pointed out that they could get £1000 over list price for it easily if they kept it there 6 months.
Their nearly all sold so they cant discount is the line i got today when i rang up another dealer close to me. I need my deal done close to home as i cant get time of work to travel anywhere other than collect the bankers draft and a few miles to the garage.
I dont think its unreasonable...
172 sold at only 9k miles rattled like f*ck and had a mind of its own, some days it would start up other days wouldnt want to go anywhere. 182 was fine apart from a leaking coolant bottle and it not feeling as fast or handling as good as the 172.
Yeah im thinking about going for a s2000 is well, seems a bargain at 22999 for a new one. I love the fact that you can rev it to 9000rpm all day long and the only thing you have to worry about is consumables. Also nitron do racing shocks for it now.
I swear if i dont get one of these cars at a decent price ill never buy a renault again, never ever no matter how good it is. Plus im going to make sure no family member does as weve had 10 new renaults so far.
