Are the issue of used ones, how do they take the mileage? Is the build quality similar to the 182?

Does ESP cut in on the sly with no indication via the warning sign on the dash? I ask because these hot sunny days ive been driving ESP off and the car seems quicker. Or i suppose it could be the psychological effect at play.
