Smooth :)
My left hand one had broken, motor packed up causing the switch to burn out a little while back. I wanted black mirrors anyways and for the price I got them ;) I couldn't turn it down!
All the forms sent off now so car is all sorted as SORN'd, just waiting on the confirmation back from the DVLA now.
Been down to the car to the first time today, only a 10 minute job.
Swapped over the mirrors for some new manual one's I got from work. Little bit lighter (not by much) and they...
If you see how busy I am throughout the day, you'll understandy why.
Call me on 0121 626 7971 if you would like a quote for anything as I can't access CS at work.
Nah not right, if it's SORN'd it doesn't have to be insured. It only has to be insured if it's taxed.
My insurance company confirmed it to me last week when I swapped all mine over.
The rules are as follows.
If the car has tax it has to be insured.
If the car has no tax it has to be SORN'd.
Basically, it all comes down to you can't insure a untaxed car. It's kind of all or nothing really.
In your situation, are the benefits really gonna be worth the hassle? I think not...
Not if you're doing the one trackday no, if it's going to be a track car regularly yes.
Seats are easy to take out, just have a torx set and a breaker bar handy for the isofix bar.
As far as I remember the aftermarket mechanisms come with a different plug on them compared to the original one.
It's a case of cutting off the old plug, putting the new one on.
Should really be in the instructions.
