Wheres the rest of the cage???
You brought a cage and got it fitted, but you brought the back half only, idea of a cage is to protect you, not your rear footwell
rad fan might be fucked
IMO it was a f**king stupid thing to do to let it get hot enough to blow the pressure cap, quite possibly fucked the head gasket doing that, esp if you now have steam coming from exhaust.
With car running check in the header tank that tehre is water flowing around...
Bullshit!!!
There are 2 bushes on the suspension on the RT, both on the wishbones where they conect to subframe, these can be pressed out and replaced, if they dont' believe you i have 2 wishbones sat in my garage with the old bushes pressed out, these are gonna be £20 tops from renault.
Will...
Might find you have to take exhaust off
On mine with a supersprint i had to cut the bolts to get them out as exhaust was in way, did one on a std 16v a while back and that worked with just levering the exhaust downpipe downwards just enoguh to slide the bolt out.
Apart from that its a 5 mins...
Not really, most likley is valves hit pistons and a few if any are bent, really have to have it in pieces to tell.
If it was at idle you'll prolly bhe lucky and get away with a few bent valves if that
why don't you just elongate each hole by 2mm and fit them, you would have had them fitted weeks ago and wouln'dt be cpomplaining on here when you shoudl really be complaining to FK
Bullshit!!!!!
I've know engines that the belt has gone and they ahve been fine, others have endfed up with 16 bent valves.
if you can do the work yourself fix it, if not a valver engine can be picked up for a couple of hundred quid.
Cambelt is 10 times easier to do with the engine out of the car
Lamba sensor, £10 2nd hand
IF the revs dip down and then rev back up, and repeat, and when you drive off it will bog down ands then suddenly pick up, just does it when cold.....lamba, double check when you take it out, if it rattles its fooked
best bet is get it recovered, i did thids 125 miles hoem with a car with a fucked gearbox.
Other optiion is to drive it home and risk it, at the end of the day 30 miles sin't a massive long way, or make friends with a bloke who owns a tow truck.
Where you based
Yeah its called a foot pump lol
I'd also take oil and water.
Be careful at donnington if its wet, its like a fooking ice ring in the wet, and dont' go into the gravel sideways
Don't notic a differnce......bullshit!
You obvously don't drive your car hard enough, esp if you have it on a track you'll notice the differnce it makes
No thats wrong
The 2.0 8v bottom end WILL go stright on, how ever teh gians are minimal ie 5bhp on a std inlet.
I was gonna go down the route you've gone down and then decided it wasn't worth it fore the gains, so got a hybrid.
Also get you ass up to chipwizards in yorks and get a remap, that...
Cheap, and from what i hear best soloution, change oil to mineral oil, run fi a few hundred miels and change back to fully synth, sorts the problems right out.
Tucks you really ought to get over to williamsclio where you get proper advice ;)
ignore it, cars make noises, esp new ones
And if you leave a pack of beer in the footweell with a note saying its for the mechanis they will sort it out first time, not 5th time
won't help it doing that, try lower tyre pressures
Mine skips on bumps going round corners, btu then i have coilvoers on the hardest possible settings and run high tyre pressures....suits my driving style
