Mine was 53 brand new £11,995 at Renault Croydon.
On the day I picked it (29/11/03) up there was a second hand 03 there for £11,495 with 10,000 on so I think I did ok.
Sounds a good price mate.
Wouldnt really talk about any Clio as comfort! Get an S-Class if you want comfort grandad. Old school hot hatches are meant to be RAW! Why you think the Golf GTi is such a boring whale on wheels now!
Depends where you live matey. I know a 17 year old who was paying 1800 for a 1.1 Escort Bonus in London.
Also back in 1997 (when i was 18) had a mate who was paying £3000 for a heavy modded 1.6 Orion Ghia (Just because of where he lived and no modds declaired). At the time I ran myself a quote...
Ive changed my backs so far cause the Renault ones were crap!
I will do my fronts/tweeters when funds allow. THe 172 units are pretty useless to.
I know Frosty has changed his fronts and tweeters for new ones.
Autoglym. Good enough for Aston Martin, Good Enough for me:).
Super Resin every few weeks and Ultra Gloss about twice a year. Kept my last 3 cars like that and they all looked great.
My Saxo had so much Autoglym protection is just didnt get dirty............well look dirty.
Ive read it in evo in a long term test of the cup. Also think I saw it in the cup leafet from Renault.
I didnt bother taking the CC cause Ive got a second car with it.
"The seats arent the half-Alcantara items of the stock 172, but theyre pretty comfortable and they do sit you a bit lower...
Dont give a flying feck about the bus seat in the back on the CUP because I dont sit in it!!! I also think youll find the seat in the 172 is no more comfy - it just looks better.
Just because the 172 costs more doesnt mean its better built! They come for the same place and are put together by...
I find my aunties 1.4 Dynamique feels like a completely different car to my CUP. They are nothing like each other. The cup has a better driving position, steering wheel feels more chucky and has a couple of nice cut-aways for your thumbs, the clutch has a stronger more solid feel, the gearbox...

first picture has drums.
Cant work this out even my VTR had discs
No I meant the current range - maybe only the sport range has discs (1.6 only) Have you checked the renault site.
106 Xsi I drove had drums and my VTR had disc but the brakes on the Saxo werent that much better. Like they say the car doesnt do a lot of braking with the rears.
