A note for all clio sport owners.
Decided to remove the roof spoiler yesterday for some reason, just to clean underneath and unearthed a potential problem.
you will notice that the spoiler is metal and where it mounts the lip of the spoiler touches the glass rear screen. well due to...
yeah mine has 14k on it has never had any warranty work at all!!
Suppose that i am a lucky one!
Thing is I need to sell mine - with all the bad stories floating about there is not much chance on this site!
Gearbox bearings without a doubt - wich one(s) hard to say but its either a rebuild or new box - the latter you should insist on!!
As far as rejection, you have to allow the dealer a chance to correct the fault. All the issues you describe are all related to the box as someone has already...
yeah the sticker should be inside the door, and you definately need to sort it.
It could have been removed if it has had any paintwork...usually the case.
To get one is a complete arse...my mate had the same issue.
You can only get em from reno. You have to fill in a disclaimer form giving...
Hi
172s dont have traction control - this seems a common misconception.
The juddering and banging is your wheels scrabbling for traction, each time they bite, the inertia from the moving car causes everything that is not fixed to move and collide and bang against eachother.
Best thing is...
Im mega para too; and have come up with my ideal soloution. I have made four strips of high density foam with an adhesive magnetic flexi strip on the back. So whenever i park in a place i am not too happy about then I just put em on!
They work an absolute treat!!
Thinking about setting a...
A custom back box could alleviate the issue as usually ther is less insulation and/or bigger bore therefore heat dissipation will occur on a faster rate and the metal will be asked to expand less to accomdate this heat energy.
yeah, i never boot it when cold though, always wait till needle is middle, unless that dispay maybe slightly different as that is coolant temp - could be another like my gte 16V?
dosent have traction control!!
Interesting thought though. The tyres wouldnt just start spinning after ths service. There may have been a change made by renault to ecu? or maybe there is an inbuilt instruction for the engine to be allowed to run better after a given milage?
Yeah, I understand the banter element, its just that its a bit samey plus a lot of the time people are really clinging on to 0.2 of a sec etc when as I highlighted in the real world these figures are nonsensical when you consider all factors
But yeah, i take your point.
And another...
i just thought Id cough up my opinion on all the 182/172/cup arguments
At the end of the day they are 3 very similar cars. maybe ones got a spare missing, or ones got twin exhausts, or another is 15mm lower.
But these slight differences can only be effective in a head to head if all...
Ahem,
The outside temp is relevant to the air con. Although the climate contol is a closed loop system and work off interoir temp, the outside temp is considered as if too could, could cause the system to ice up!
dentmaster uk will sort it. Have used them myself.
Cost depends on location and level of difficulty to remove.
They dont use heat. They push out low spots andtap in highs - its really an art form!!
Be warned they are never invisible, but they look a million times better!
only thing having a new one...you get the excitement of seeing all that heavy ddepreciation in the first couple of yoears, and the thrill of some other wormsha*ger buying it for a song after you have cherised it and looked after it.
Find a low milage 172, there are lots about, and some are...
have looked at the possibity of fitting 205/35/16v
Looking at the circumference calcs of the two, they seem a close comparison.
for the 195s the circumference is 1568cm
the 205s - 1519cm
By choosing these tyres, they may be better as handling may be improved. Plus acceleration could be...
