Thing is we don't have to make the interface, we just buy it. ;)
I have had a quick search, and I can only find complex interfaces for the OBD diagnostics (to connect to PCs and stuff), but I'm sure there must be something simpler.
Custom fabricating an interface for it would be far too much work just for that. You should get a LCD commonly used for custom creations (such as PC). Although the PC one would be difficult to incorporate into a car, something similar to that would be the best bet. Unless you are very...
You do need a new aerial, but depending on which one you buy, you get a glass mounted aerial with it. I'm going to buy the Sony CDX6650, but I want to use a normal beesting style aerial. Pioneer make one. So when i can be bothered getting round to tearing my interior apart, I will fit the...
It was a nice day today, so I thought I would remove the Clio's alloys and give them a full clean and polish and have them look spanking. First wheel came off no problem, but the other three did not. Infact one of the bolts (anti theft) was so tight, that it broke the socket and bent the wrench...
I'm trying to find some of this too, it looks fantastic. It's permanent so you do have to be careful when applying it, but after I saw the results on an Volvo I was very impressed.
I just bought this random orbital sander this week, and I thought about the possibilty that I could use it with some suitable pads to polish the car. http://www.metabo.co.uk/metabo/uk/en/produkte/discsanders/400wattelectronicdiscsandersxe450duo_6_00458_39.html
I know the word "sander" will...
I'm pretty sure that both badges have mounting posts underneath, especially the Renault one (Phase 1 only). Not totally certain though, I could be pleasantly surprised!
Forget about Windows, use FreeBSD or Linux; there are a few totally free ones.
FreeBSD will really show you what your PC can do performance wise, it's an excellent OS. http://www.freebsd.org/
Re: Coats of wax, polosh
How long do you guys wait between Synthetic sealant coats? I was told to wait 24 hours; but this was by a Zaino user, and I know Zaino does take that. I used Gold Class Sealant, but waiting 24 hours between each coat means my detail takes about 3days!
By the way, what kind of adjustments need to be made after a car as been dropped, say approx 40mm. I heard that it causes slight negative camber, so you need to fit something to allow camber adjustment. Can anyone fill me in on this?
That's one of the reasons I was asking here, the only stuff I found looks like cellophane! I'm pretty sure thicker film is easier to apply too.
Anyway, the pricing isn't as bad as I thought, so I might as well just wait a while and get it done professionally.
I was thinking about this too, as It would look smart on a black car IMO, but... I really didn't want to get pulled over full stop, I don't want to be driving a car where I s**t bricks every time I see the police, so I decided against it. I love the idea, but is it really worth all the hassle if...
Being a poor student, I am considering trying my hand at tinting my car myself. Has anyone ever here ever tried this? I was reading up on the process, and it seems manageable. Does anyone also know of some good quality (road legal, not really dark) films that I could buy?
Cheers
