Was a great evening and seemed to be enjoyed by all.
I got to drive the new Megane 250, and was very impressed. Savage on the power and on the brakes!
Thought whatever pictures anyone might have they could be posted in here. I'll try and grab some off the RenaultSport forum too.
What are these and can I remove them? They're located in between it appears the rear bumper and the boot. Silly little plastic things that rattle around corners!
Anyone know where I can get some, preferably from a shop I can walk into?
I've been to Halfords but the one's on their shelves aren't the right colour match or anywhere close tbh.
Could do with some sharpish too!
Any clues on how to do this?
Obviously the you take the plug out from the bottom of the ciggie lighter, but then how do you remove the lighter from the housing?
I need it for sat nav!
I'm going to do a bit more weight removal on the weekend on the 172. Couple of quick questions before I do though.
When removing the front carpet section,
how does this come away from the plastic gearbox surround? Does that plastic surround need to come off and how?
I presume for the...
Will something like this be suitable for removing the rear wiper arms?
http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_173425_langId_-1_categoryId_165469
or can anyone suggest something else that may be free/cheaper?!
What's the best way to spray my tow eye?
I gave it a go yesterday and got fd up of holding the tow eye for ages, and then when i thought it was dry, it got stuck to the newspaper when i put it on there.
What method have you used/recommend?
I've got a set of Bilstein B14 Coilovers waiting to go on my 172 soon, and I know that they will be fine to go on for now using the original strut bolts.
But..when the car goes to be set up I'm aware I'll need camber bolts fitted.
Will these be ok for use with the Bilstein coilovers...
I've rubbed down the mirror caps, and applied two coats of primer.
Do I need to rub them down again before applying the paint and then lacquer or not?
What's the process after the stage I'm at now?
Rub down
Paint
Lacquer
Or is there something different I should do there?
Can someone possibly do me a photoshop with the the same picture but with orange mirror covers, and also one with the wheels in black and the mirror covers in black also. Thanks!
I've had a go at refurbing my oz f1's but like a complete numpty, I didn't sand enough and I sprayed on the layers to thick to quickly.
Now.. I don't fancy paying to have them refurbed as I also want my mirror covers done at the same time to match the wheels, but nowhere will do it for me...
If anyone has got any KW V2's fitted to their Clio's can you pop them up in here for me!
Just really want to see how low they sit on the back! Thanks in advance.
Is anyone else noticing less mpg due to the colder weather we're having at the moment?
I'm guessing because of leaving car idling on start up with blowers on full blast doesn't exactly help the cause combined with v-power prices gone up recently in line with normal unleaded prices but just...
Hi all,
I believe it's the momo steering wheel boss that is needed to fit aftermarket wheels to the ph2 172's.
MK7218R or MOM7218R - depending on where you buy it from. Important part is the '7218R' bit.
Can anyone confirm that for me?
Should the key be left in the ignition when changing pads and/or discs aswell? If this is correct, at what position, ie. off or another position.
I've heard if key not left in, it can damage the abs pump. Is this right or a load of rubbish?
Right time has come in the next few weeks to order some coilovers. I've been through many threads looking at the different makes and models and looking at reviews, but I'm just really unsure of what to go for.
From next year, 90% of the time my car will be used for road use (10 mile round...
Was checking the ITG panel filter earlier to make sure it was ok and as I was unscrewing the very front screw, I bloody dropped it didn't I. I think it has found it's way into the undertray area via the front panel section. Do you reckon it will just fall out whilst driving?
Thinking about changing the front pads on my 172, will just a normal g clamp do to push the pistons back?
I've seen plenty of kits that need tool adaptors, such as in this kit here:
http://www.lasertools.co.uk/item.aspx?cat=518&item=3317
At what stage of pushing the piston back is the...
just a quick one, not specific to the clio's but to cars in general. when replacing ignition coils and/or leads, should the battery be disconnected?
thanks in advance.
will this tool be any good for heating up a caliper bolt to make it easier to remove? we've rounded it off you see and need to heat it up before using some stilson's on it.
if not can anyone recommend something else...

Set out at 8 this morning from Birmingham, and took a good 3 hours to get there. We were off to see a realtive who's recently moved down there. Really nice roads to drive on especially when you can get past the odd slow drivers!
Didn't get a chance to pull over and get a few scenic shots due...
