Ive had one of my cars checked before. A few years ago I had a Lexus IS200, and they wanted to inspect it even though I said I wasnt interested in mods.
That was with a company called Budget. All the cars Ive had insured with Admiral have never been an Issue, the V6, 330 Cabby, 328 Coupe...
To much work and not enough play Im affraid.
Managed to take it out last night, and absolutly loved it. Started opening it up to 4000 now. Im now one extremely happy chappy again.:D
And whats wrong with Illiad Blue eh. You got a problem with us lovers of a bit of blue;)
Anyway enjoy the car mate, keep writing in and telling me what there like to drive. Ive had mine two month and only driven it 300 miles:(
Interesting reading guys, and just the excuse I need to give the V6 a good caneing. 350 miles so far, and nothing over 3000 rpm. Its been hell.
Might take it up to 4500 and see what its like.(y)
BenR, what exactly did you "HATE" (Strong word) about the way the V6 drove. I think mine drives great, as do the highly respected EVO magazine writers.
Tell us all in detail please, why you hate it and most other people love it. Im intrigued:)
Ive got a disklok, but apart from that Im quite happy with the standard set up on the car.
When I got the V6 I also had an electric roller shutter garage door fitted, just in case:)
?????????????????????
Unsure what you mean there?
Mine feels fantastic, every review Ive read, heard and seen has said the MK2s handling is amazing. Hence why I bought mine.
Really not sure what you mean there.
Ive gone from a 330 BM, and so far even after only covering 300 miles in the V6 Ive had less problems. 330s lighting died almost instantly.
German attention to quality my arse.
You just got a bad one mate, unlucky:(
I had a Mk1 172, and never had a problem with it. No rattles or creaks, it looked a bit cheap, but that was it.
My V6 is alot better looking, but of course its based on the Mk2. How it lasts, only time will tell.
As far as I can tell the 182s and V6s are made side by side in the Diepe...
