I found a colour match silver pen in Les Smith the other day, which is the exact colour of my mk2 172 wheels. Probably the same as yours.
Took me about half an hour on saturday to colour in my wheels. Looks a lot better.
Not sure who makes the pen.
If you do get it refurbished by a local...
I found a silver colour match pen in Les Smith (Basingstoke) the other day, that is the exact colour of my (standard mk2 172) alloys.
Hides all of the kerb scrapes beautifully.
It is just like a marker pen, but silver (of course). Not sure who it is made by.
put the key down button up, put a flat head screw driver into the keyring bit at the top, and welly it away from the metal part/button.
This should open it up. It is the button section that comes off.
Or use an elastic band for friction.
Got the same pulling away at one particular roundabout.
Discovered that about 3meters from the entrance, there was a shiny man-hole cover. My passanger front wheel was spinning on the shiny man-hole cover and then causing a loud BANG when it came into contact with real road.
Check out the...
Stop dropping it!
Diagrams on replacing the battery should be in the manual somewhere. Tis in mine.
When you drop it, it just dislodges the battery from its housing, and breaks the circuit.

Does it happen with the passanger side as well? If it is only one side, you might have something earthing/shorting on the door.
Or has someone replaced the window motor with a starter motor?
Tried optimax (for 500 miles). Waste of money.
Cost 7p a litre more for no performance enhancement (seemed less responsive), and 2mpg less. Normally get 33mpg, optimax took it down to 31.
Engine was a little quieter, but then anyone with an induction kit doesnt care about that.

Nosh. I have a cat which is fairly pink...and a bit camp too.

He is a bit older than this picture, and currently has bright pink ears as they are a little sun burnt.
Clean the rubber, clean the inside edge of the sun roof, and vaseline your rubber.
It should stop the whistling or farting noise that some sunies make; it will get rid of the grit that lets water in; and it will make for a nice tight waterproof seal.
(Benj...no jokes about having a "nice...
Had a similar thing annoy me on my old red 95 1.4RT.
I eventually figured out what it was when I turned the fans off to hear it better and the noise stopped.
I guess I had a dodgy fan baring or something. It tended to occur when I had been travelling on the motorway and had the fan on "I"...
