Stace is currently trying to sell his X reg 172. At £5 a shot that would only be 1500 tickets.

You gotta grow into the 172 steering and power. My 172 seemed scary after my 95 1.4RT. But now it is a lot easier to b**ch slap around corners.

The accellerator is electronic. I thought the "click" was the pedal loosing contact with the pots.

Never had people in my 172...they are all too scared. I used to get a squeak in my 1.4rt 8v (M - 95) when I pulled away but was told that it was the engine mount or breaks binding. Did it in 1st and 2nd. Suspension creaked a bit when people got out. Softcore p**n is nothing to be ashamed...

Was looking at getting a personalised number plate, but dedcided that it would be better spent on NOS. (Plates dont make the car go faster)

1st thing you should get is a ClioSport sticker, of course! Becomming a member gets you money off from varoius places. First thing I did was a piperX IK. Sounds Awesome. :=8-)

Halfords sell some thick double sided tape which I used once. Got my self a new door strip in the end. cost £40 i think. came with all fixings.

Do you get any vibration as well when you brake? Might be as simple as some air in one of your brake hoses.

How do you test whether it is working as good as or better then a normal air box? How easy is it to fit your replacement filter when it gets dirty? Wish I could think up things like that.

Yeah.. Plenty of copper ease will help stop the pads squealing, and will also help conduct/dissipate heat away from the bads onto the caliper & cradle. You might also need a clamp to push the pot/piston pack in...slowly.

Mate of mine mentioned the other day, that if the police pull you over and see your radar detector, then they can remove it under some obscure law. Anyone else heard of this?

dogmaul & captain_clio. Buy a 2L 16v engine from the "For Sale" section and put it in your motor. That way your fuel consumption will be more realistic for your engine size.

I have tried cable ties but they managed to bite through them. Tried to duck tape their gobs but kiddie spit seems to be one of the best lubricants around. I might give the "cut out the offending part" option a go.....or try some black towels to cover the alacantra.
