Could be a few things.... Did it pass the emissions test recently on an MOT? What engine size is it? Is he planting his foot costantly rather than changing gear, is he driving smoothly or in a way that would cause more fuel to be used? When was the car last serviced?
Looks great!
That turtle wax tyre gel is actually very good. I did the tyres on my car and they've stayed looking good in over 300 miles. Minimal fling too. I apply to tyre with a paint brush then wipe with a microfiber.
I blame parking sensors. These are even available on a ford KA now, how much of a shite driver would someone need to be to want parking sensors on a small car like a KA.
Blatently people are passing there tests these days with less spacial awarness (and not giving a f**k about other peoples...
Good, solid car.
I've always liked Fords, I wouldn't mind something like that myself. My gf gets her Ka serviced at Ford, always really nice to deal with and they are as cheap as the back street places I phoned. £155 for a service (including tappet adjustment) and now we know them they'll...
I havent cleaned mine in over two months, there has never been enough time or the weather has been too crap to do a half decent job.
The last time I tried I didnt even get the thing half wet before I got agro of my girlfriend because there was some daft errand she wanted me to do.
Black...
Man, I wish I could do buying and selling cars like this. I'm such a lazy buyer, I've always clung onto cars even when I've been bored just because I cant be bothered with the hassle of selling them and loosing money.
I'm the kind of guy you probably like veiwing the cars for sale in your lot...
I've always liked commercial vehicles, at least old transit's, anyway but this concept from nissan rocks!

Idont know which way the inlet manifold sits on that clio.
I toyed doing this when my shhhhhoooiiit pierberg carb kept messing me about on my scirocco 1.8 8v GTII the inlet manifold on that was facing the bulkhead so the carbs would be very very close and with sock filters would touch the...
Regular oil changes are important because your oil lubricates and in part helps cool your engine. Friction caused by tiny deposits of metal inside your engine will act like an abrasive and cause more wear, this is unavoidable but regular oil changes help flush out deposits and replace the...
My clio is on 87k too and seems to go better now than when I first got it, my gf's car is on 45k we bought it on 22k and that is miles better too, but both are well serviced, not used for lots of short trips and warmed through. The engine wear (mostly) happens in the first few miles and during...
Brand new engines are tight and require bedding in and loosening up a bit before they reach their full potential, apparently the way it's been run in has an effect on the performance of the engine too over it's lifespan.
The compression is effected during the life of the engine by wear in the...
At that price just spend the difference on wheel bearings :)
I would have bought then for that much for sure. I offered a chap on here that for a set of 15" MK2 alloys and it wasn't enough to secure the deal unfortunately.
I am not joking I've even seen peanut butter and even veg oil mentioned in the past, when I had my Mk2 golf and my scirocco (with lots of plastic on the bumpers) one guy told me to use a hair drier or heat gun carefully on the plastics and that actually did work, then I dressed with wd40.
lol you know that's only any good for sticking peoples feet to the ceiling.
My dad bought some once to fix a dado rail on the wall and it kept falling off so he had to hammer nails in, he was like "wtf it should be called 'less nails"
Yep silicon, It's what I've used in the past, but you must give it plenty of time to dry.
You can use automotive double sided fixing strips, which is like a thin foam pad and sticky on both sides. Bodyshops could probably sell you some.
I was offered £1700 trade-in on mine at a main dealer Ford for a 3yo Ford Ka and at a main dealer Fiat £1800 against a C1. But mine is an RSi.
I guess £1800 to £2200 For a desent Ph1 dependant on milage, condition and history.
It's an old skool thing to do
I wanted banded steels on my cortina at the rear, but I'm certain they are illegal, unfortunately. I went for 70's Wolfrace slot mags in the end although toyed with wheels made by a company called 'Wella'
here you go...
Shame you are not closer to Bath, you could have had a run out in mine. I'm thinking of possibly selling it.
The MK2 PH1 was available in 16v also.
It is a relaxing car to drive, around this part of the country all the hills are quite steep but the car doesn't show any signs of struggling...
Tbh it's a naff advert, is it a polish? or a wax? or a sealer? or a glaze??? You can never get a logical answer from TW packaging or their site.
I've done a search for it on DW, one guy slates it but if he's tried it or not I don't know. I never see much praise being handed out to Turtle Wax...
Definatly worth a watch, those people standing right at the edge, god, wreck your concentration much!
The music was like soomething out of an 80's porno though.
Thankfully that dosent happen in my unassuming 1.6 tbh.
I notice when other motorists see a small car or a classic car not wanting to be stuck behind it they pull out of junctions in front of you expecting you to be going slow, only to cause a near collision.
From years of owning old cars I can honestly say, Rich is right, you can slow the progress of most rust but not irradiate it with treatment unless the effected area is what is loosely referred to as surface rust.
I see this a lot with old cars being advertised as having 'surface rust' though...
Nice collection of porka's
Let me educate you. Especially seeing as you've never owned a rwd car let alone an mx5.
It's not about the amount of power you have to use in the MX5, it's the handling that makes it a great car.
Almost anyone can jump in an MX5 and drive it well on the limit...
Re: The "To be announced" game I couldn't name.....
I worked in concept which is normally done and dusted after a few months but we were there for virtually the whole process and the hours weren't great but better than the lighting and world builders, they were run ragged.
I remember the...
Re: The "To be announced" game I couldn't name.....
Yep EA outsource work also, even story-boarding and cut scenes. A handful of us spent 9 months traveling to the now defunct Argonaut studio in north London where the dev work was outsourced to.
Argonaut did some really good work over the...
Re: The "To be announced" game I couldn't name.....
I imagine it will sell well, even if just half of 50c fans buy it, that's lot of copies sold..
I can't believe you had a guy leave over this though, at least your game will sell, I think EA sold about 20 copies of catwoman, a game I worked...
