Yes the warranty is the same as any other new car. Covered for any parts and labour to replace said parts as long as its not just wear and tear like pads tyres etc as you say.
It all really depends on what you can comfortably afford. If the cost of the V is a stretch or will leave you with no money each month then its probably not wise. However, if you have a spare couple of grand (for arguments sake)just knocking about each month then why not.
Average fuel consumption for us is about 25mpg with quite a bit of motorway miles.
Is it worth double the insurance?? Hmm that is ALOT to pay for insurance, that would probably stop me buying one.

Thing is its the same with any manufacturer not just Renault. Also what is the percentage of people complaining out of the whole club or compared to those that get good service? Should we do a letter praising them too for all the people that are happy?
Our V now has 16k on it and it has one rattle. From the drivers side door, think its the window and the dealer is going to sort it under warranty. It is otherwise still as solid and rattle free as when new.
Yep ours was positioned in square whatever you wanna call it at the bottom of the windscreen and randomly went off all over the place. Guy from origin told us to put a ferrite core on the cable which I did and it made no difference. Took it out when we went to Spa and havent put it back in yet...
