Where can I get some side repeaters for my phase1 16v that are clear but the same design as the originals? I dont want dodgy oval ones... Cheers guys

Yeah just wire it in parallel with the existing fan switch. Its on the right hand side (sit in the car) of the rad about half way up. Splice into each wire (there are 2) and put a toggle switch (min 5 amp rated) across the 2 new leads you have. Hey presto fan comes on when the thermostat says...

Dont think youll get them for a clio. Not a 16v anyway.

Yeah, i have just snapped my handbrake cables on my 16v. Im a bit reluctant to put the standard crappy cables back on though so i thought about a hydraulic one. My clio is stripped out and has a cage and is also very low on the back (bit too low really) Also no spare or hanger so back end...

Rally design or TAS (Trans Auto Sport) do a couple of versions depending on what you want. £30 for cylinder and bracket. £90 for cylinder, bracket and lever with lock on mechanism.

Do you mean fitting a hydraulic handbrake to a 16v clio? If so then you should disconnect and remove the load adjustment valve under the car (damn things should be banned anyway) and puumb the handbrake m/cylinder in line with the rear brake linea. All this ideally needs doing with a byas...

pete, make sure you use alloy bubble arches on that Mk1 and not the aweful fibreglass efforts that look sh*te and cant survive a light breeze...

Dont run speedlines, they are crap. We have to run them in the KA challenge and destroy 2 per rally. even on tarmac we twisted one so badly it pulled the tyre off the rim. Although they do get mega abuse on a rally car, i dont think they are as good as the old compomotives we used to run...

hmmm, looks very much like a B&M lever. Good effort though as it looks to be the same part for over £50 cheaper.

hang on, the units must be sealed to an extent, otherwise each time you switch on your lights you light up the engine bay which leads to less light out front. so where does the moisture escape to when you switch them on? it doesnt/cant. we have the same prob with our 16vs in that the fogs...
