I second the "fun for a few weeks and then left to rot." It really is a waste of money mate. I had mine less than a year and I spent WEEKS finding one on launch day. Gutted.

Felt a bit like you a couple of months back. The 197 feels waaay different to my Cup. The Cup was fun 0-40mph, the 197 40mph+ is just sheer awesome. It feels rock solid. After sitting back in a 172, I'd never go back.

Colour coded baseplates always look terrible and chavvy. Sell the caps, looks much better without! Use the money to get your bullets coloured instead.

My Cup was £190 with £90 insurance and very little spent on fuel (averaged 33mpg) The 197 is £250, free insurance (business) and an infinity amount of money on fuel (22mpg).

Sometimes my drivers door button doesn't lock the car, and I either have to press the bootlock button, the passenger door button or use the fob. Anyone experience this and know why? It happens around 1 in 3 times I try to lock the car and is starting to bug me a bit.

Does the touch have bluetooth? I connect my iPhone to my Sony headunit using bluetooth and play the music wirelessly. It was a feature added to the 3.0 update. I realise you said you don't really want to have to change your headunit, but it's the more practical way.
