I had a similar problem - The answer for me was to stop syncing it with 2 computers. Just install apps from 1 pc (and 1 itunes account) and it should fix. Might have to restore though/reset to manu default (thats what i did before stopping multiple-syncing :P)
Re: iPhone accessory must haves?
I got the black incipio case from ebay for about £12.50.
The included screen protector is actually pretty decent! I got it on without any air bubbles etc first time.
Good little investment to protect my new £440 device! :S
Jailbreaking isn't illegal (it does brake iphone/ipod agreement though), however discussion of cracked apps etc is.
So aslong as its about free apps available on Cydia, or themes etc, then I think the admins/mods should be ok...
I know!
I'm not sure how apple does it (other than slapping its name and a stupid price tag on stuff) but it will sell - i guarantee that.
MOST iPhone users bought their phone purely cause everyone was buying one/fashion statement...
As such, an Apple AND TomTom dock is also a fashion...
You are daft to be up so late!!! :rasp:
Yeah... issue with the whole going to various places is - I live in a small town (whilst not during uni times) and as such - we have one place for parts - G&T Motors "Spares".
I'm hoping they have the spares for me :P
I'm trying to switch off by...
Before my drive at 1pm? I cba getting up before 9:30 due to my lateness right now!!! :P
Yeah, it'll get sorted, one way or another.....
(for your lolz) I did briefly (being the important word here) consider taping some "alternative*" mirror in its place
*Alternative = Tin Foil
Haha.... she wasn't a looker tbh. She was driving a 106 afterall...
I'm worried her "cheaper" one is bound to be a £3 jobby from ebay - the ones without the magnified/wider bit (whatever they are called) fingers crossed my local generic garage will have one (as it seems they are the same...
Re: ***Dock for Tom-Tom??***
Official one is listed at £100 on some e-tailers sites
It has some kind of GPS enhancer... which "explains" its high cost
The software is extra ontop of this :(
I got her details!
I was quite kind tbh... was a bit nervous getting out my car and walking towards hers (didn't know it was a she till i got next to her door) - you never know who's gonna be behind the wheel... esp in a modded 106
Of course she said "I can get you one cheap"
I said, er, I...
Fun times....
Well, just dropped a mate off home, on my way coming back, I'm driving down a double-parked road, theres another driver coming towards me, and as there is space on the left hand side to pass - it is my right of way...
She doesn't seem to realise this OR thinks we can both...
Yeah thats a good spec for the price, however I've heard many complaints about HP build quality - I'm not sure if it's an issue myself, but complaints do seem more common than complements.
You sure? As it makes sense to me that the sim cards are different to normal PAYG ones. My friend bought an iPhone on PAYG, and his sim card has "iPhone" written on it.
It wouldn't surprise me if O2 did only distribute a limited amount of iPhone PAYG sims, as plainly contracts are worth more...
Are you trying to buy PAYG or contract?
I'm trying to get a PAYG,
I walked into my local O2 shop on saturday morning (had a busy day, so I got up especially early to get myself an 3GS) at 9:30, asked them "You got any 16GB iPhones?"
"Yeah, we have" they replied
"I'd like one on PAYG...
You're posting in the PC and PC Gaming sub forum!!! :rasp:
I've always thought macs are for fashion posers.... unless you are in Photography/Audio/Visual industries, you have no real use for the expensive name tag.
For £500-600, you could build yourself a pretty decent gaming PC, if gaming...
PM'd.
Like I said, my contact may be able to get you one. He was doing a favour when he sorted me out, so it may not be possible for "strangers" (to him) :P, also depends on the supplier (and quantity they have).
Jim
Look at the Pentax K200D, iirc they retail at about £350 or so... PM me as I might have a *legitamate* contact to get you one for £235 or so (I'm in the right industry :P) no promises though.
Jim
P.S. Low light doesn't really work for D-SLR - you'll need a good flash or a tripod for that kinda...
Am I right in saying you could salvage £700 of stuff from it? The seats gotta be worth a few quid, the wheels should go to a chav for about £150. Theres bound to be more than £700 of bits in there?
I assume for the OP to do that though, they'd have to either;
- take the cable through the house - not good on the eye... + loose Sky functionality
- drill a much larger hole at the LNB end, to fit the end through.
As sean182cup said - F Connector ends, like these:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=230228462898
(b&q or other DIY stores should have em)
Yeah, you've got a quad-LNB there.
Only thing now is getting the cable & connectors. I put mine in myself (mainly thanks to working for an electrian at the time - access to cables, connectors, testing equipment etc).
Freesat uses the same satelite as Sky, so it is as easy as routing a cable.
Hey, thanks for all the input guys.
Since my last post, I've had a few offers of second-hand 'touchs. I do appreciate this, however have decided to wait till september for the new ones - especially since my travelling won't start till then anyway.
Just so no-one else wastes their time...
