they look like through panel rubbers ie if the pipes need to go through the crossmember/slam panel etc, you drill your hole, put them rubbers in the hole and then put the pipework through them, stops the pipes rubbing on the bodywork and splitting

my view is that you are getting ripped! they are trying to find ways to up your premium argue and argue and argue some more, a non-fault claim should not affect your policy! all monies are claimed back from the at-fault!

i have a non fault accident registered on my policy......doesn't affect my quote one bit! ring them back up and ask to speak to someone with brains!

yeh they are ok to run i'm by no means an expert but i think the only downfall to using thinner tyres is you are educing the surface contact area with the tarmac i also assume that when you get beyond 180's you are risking pulling the tyre off the rim (obv dependant on the width of the rim mind)
