they look like through panel rubbers
ie if the pipes need to go through the crossmember/slam panel etc, you drill your hole, put them rubbers in the hole and then put the pipework through them, stops the pipes rubbing on the bodywork and splitting
a guy with a fancy looking camera came and took one of mine while it was sat in the pit garage
but more imprtantly there was a photographer down at one of the hairpins where i got a bit sideways and my bro reckons he will have captured the whole sequence
am i being dumb or are there no official pics anywhere yet?
tried to find a pic that they took on the gate (of mine on the trailer lol)
and then i've been checking batpics.co.uk daily and still nothing on there?
originally he had the tyres removed from the alloys and i had arranged a price with him for the tyres alone, then another buyer wanted the lot, so he went and got them fitted and balanced, then that buyer didn't turn up
in the end i think he had enough and just agreed on a price to seal the...
yeh i eventually forked out for them, he has had them advertised at three different prices, and i wasn't keen on any of them! lol
then someone on sunday let him down and so he offered a price i was happy with
i could do with selling the alloys as i have too many sets now! time for a wall...
oh you!
i busted out the G3 on my bro's Leon bumper not long back, BANG and the scuff is gone!! :D
seriously though, i have no idea what i'm talking about when it comes to paintwork, or glass for that matter lol
i'm just spamming for the sake of it, i'll be off now, gally.......call me
that's perfectly understandable mate, money is money at the end of the day!
it's stupidity, no matter how careful you are, you cannot avoid another driver hitting you if it is impossible to do so
slammed172 - pm me this guy's name and where he works, i will get some answers if it kills me...
haha roffle lol lmao etc
seriously though, if you stay with that insurance co. you should tattoo 'MUG' across your forehead
so a claim that costs the insurer nothing is seen as a bigger risk than a claim that costs them money? thats effectively what they are saying, that they foresee you as...
cheers pal
ran michelin pe2's all day and neither they or my driving ability were doing the car justice! roffle
only my second track day, so once i get some sticky rubber and get used to the car it will be alot better
pure joke is the understatement of the century!!
tell bell to shove their statistics where the sun don't shine and find another insurer!
btw i had my non fault claim when i was with Elephant and that never increased my policy, and Bell are the same company! roffle
this is just another way...
i found a supplier aswell for brand new S9B's, they aren't cheap mind! :o
hopefully if i can sell the alloys they will be going on a set of williams speedlines i bought at FCS
my view is that you are getting ripped!
they are trying to find ways to up your premium
argue and argue and argue some more, a non-fault claim should not affect your policy! all monies are claimed back from the at-fault!
cheers foxy and matteh :D
Lee - i'll hold you to that! never been out in a mk2 cup car, but want to badly!
checked my in car cam, not recorded a single thing, was having issues with pressing buttons and what not, will get it right next time
i have this very minute made a rather...
lol no problem Lee, i always bring plenty of tools just in case :D
and sorry for not realising who you were mate, when you walked back over to the racer i realised......'ah it's Lee with the cup racer!'
i wanted a snoop around (and a passenger lap :o) but got caught up doing other things :(
couple of pics and drive by vids from FCS
got to say i was less than impressed with the tracktime, on my second session i backed off on every lap whilst going round the banking so that i had a fairly clear run at the twisty bit, all because people weren't moving over :( also, on my last...
yeh they are ok to run
i'm by no means an expert but i think the only downfall to using thinner tyres is you are educing the surface contact area with the tarmac
i also assume that when you get beyond 180's you are risking pulling the tyre off the rim (obv dependant on the width of the rim mind)
