Best bet is a custom launcher - Nova is a good one as it resembles stock Jelly Bean, but allows you to tweak more stuff. Oh, I ordered my Nexus last night to replace my creaky HTC Sensation. Can't wait for it to turn up, although not looking forward to butchering my SIM to fit!

Hopefully the TouchJiz interface will be less intrusive and garish, but I wouldn't count on it. Still, I'm watching this with interest as I'm due an upgrade next Friday, and I'm torn between this, the Xperia Z, HTC One, or a Nexus 4.

I like the look of the new Xperia Z. Samsung phones have always been far too plasticy for me, and the TouchWiz overlay is pretty intrusive.

Possibly. I've always found (especially with ebay ads) is to leave as little ambiguity as possible - there's far more morons on there than there are on dedicated owners forums!

I drive a Clio as well. As I invariably ruin things when I attempt to modify them, mine is staying totally standard too :)
