Try selling a scooby, its near on impossible. Took me 5 weeks to get rid of mine.
A 03 plate cup is now more than 2 years old with less than 1 years warranty left. I think £8500 is to much considering they were around £11000 new.
After 3 years they should be roughly worth 50% of the initial...
Has no-one noticed Neils in front by the end of 2nd gear?? 2nd gear in most cars equates to around 62mph.
Does that tell you the scooby driver is a numpty nuts or neils car is capable of a sub 5 sec 0-60 run??
Let me wonder?? Hmmmmm???
Drivers, not cars, is all that is shown here!!
And...
Fraser, whats so good about 0-60 mate??
A MK 4 golf with 260bhp running through the front wheels would make your car look silly on the move. Not so much 0-60 as it is a heavier car and traction would be difficult but once popped into 3rd, youd be a dot in the rear view.
A 260bhp 4wd impreza...
Agree with edde. After 2-3 years youll want to change to the latest model.
5 years is a bloody long time to finance a car.
Its not really interest free as youll be paying £13800 which is way over priced for a cup version. They bump up the list price to make it look like its interest free.
Yeah your right and thats down to too much wheelspin in the 1st 2 gears. it fecks everything up, the same as what a bluefin FRS will.
The same as that mental clio TT 270 thats being talked about aswell. that wont run any quicker than 13.5. Neil i doubt youll better your 14.1, even with a power...
Sorry mate, i used a valver as an example as it is the slowest out of the hothatch clio range, not because i think its a slow car, as indeed it is not.
PJ, there are standard LCRs running pod in 14.6 so cant really see you mincing them mate. Just go over to seatcupra.net and have a look if you...
My 4th runs out at around 110. 5th to around 135, 6th to off the clock;)
Anyway back onto topic, if you stay within the speed limits, even a bluefin RS will not show you up. If upto a hundred then it will pull a few car lengths, if anything further then youll probably be a spot in his rear...
Id suspect you being quicker than an RS on the strip but once moving i reckon youd get shafted neil.
However an RS is capable of a 14.9 0-100 (evo) with a good driver and thats with a fully laden car so strip the RS and put a good driver in and youd be in the rear view mirror all the way up...
Im 22 and £1600 for my LCR with 2 years NCB. When i was 20 i was being shafted for £2650 with 1 yrs NCB on my impreza.
Surely you should have got quotes before you bought the car as i believe you are going to struggle breaking the £3000 mark.
Or are you going to stay named driver? Youd have...
Ben, in his original post he does mention the bluefin upgrade, and i get your point about the high speed stuff as not a lot of people will risk it in this country so your right, below 100/110 the RS will not be embarrassing a cliosport.
Does anyone know how much bhp/torque improvement there is...
They figures take into account the 0-60 times. The RS clios have good 0-60 times so the difference is hardly noticable.
Take 0-60 out of the equation and let the cars roll from 60-160.
The clio will not see which way a chipped RS went. Its as simple as that!!!!
Clio sports have very little...
Yes of course it will mate, but not so sure about mid range poke, ie 60+. Its 0-60 is still impressive, even in todays terms.
Mondeos and astras will hold on to it 60+ to top end though. As standard of course.
Back in its time, no doubt about it, it was a quick car but things have moved on.
Normal as in straight line speed normal.
You lot are probably thinking about your own modded cars hence you cant believe its as slow as 24 odd secs to 100. If you took the 0-60 as 8 secs, thats leaving an incredible 60-100 time of 16 secs. Now to me, thats pretty family car average. Ford...
Standard times are 24 secs definitely. The williams being around 21secs and the 172 being around 18secs. Cup and 182 slightly quicker.
The 16v is not a fast car as standard, its simply normal performance!
Your video needs to show a 0-106mph or so not 0-100.
Get a bank loan and go private.
No way would i spend anywhere near £10k on a 172 cup. you can get a used 182 with all the goodies for that
Get an £8000 loan over 3 years, buy the car privately and then sell your car privately. With the money you get for your car now, put that onto your loan...
Fred thats funny, because they go round bedford autodrome in pretty much the same time as a 182 cup.
Oh and they go round top gears test track quicker than the 182 and the same as a CTR.
Have you driven 1 freddie boy, because the proofs there to back me up that your talking out of your hoop;)
You cant be that keen mate;) 210s are exactly the same. The only difference is the 210 has a black cupra badge and the 225 has a red cupra badge in the bottom right corner. Both will eventually fade and turn into a silver badge:o
As to the remap, im pleased i chose jabba over revo. As far as i...
Neil, without a doubt mate get the LCR.
Okay the cup will be like sh*t off a shovel at 210bhp but it loses out on luxuries/looks and top end 100+ stuff. The brembos/18 alloys/climate/safety and tunability of the engine would win it for me. It is a bit bulky but you could save at least 50kg on...
I have your answer i think, with your identical figures, how strange is that??
Take the MG ZR120 and MGZR 160, both 1.8 litre engines, apart from the 160 has the vvc mechanism.
I know a guy that has modded his ZR120 upto 160bhp, with the inclusion of...
