The thing is my shell is about 98% rust free atm. I just don't want to get my whole project finish and find out there has been rust thats turned up? isnt there some thing i can do while it is just the shell. E.g Sand blast all the undersill and stuff off. and redo it ? but better? ??

I've Stripped my MK1 Clio right down to the bare shell ready for the cage and new engine and thought while i'm here i might as well protect it from rust. i was thinking of buying a sand blaster. blasting off the old stuff. and then rust proofing then priming and then panting it ?? is there any...

How else do i tell the diffcents between these racks? Spanner Flats??

under the gatior is a ball joint but i cant really tell if theres a thread any where to undo it. and if they are Revserv turn thread or some thing :-(

Does it not Come apart any where near the Ball joints. near the track rod end. ?

I belive its the track rod. how do i change this :-S not the track rod end just the track rod?

On the passenger side end of the steering rack. theres a male thread that goes into the track rod end. This thread has snapped. I've taken the Gatior off nearest to the snap and its got a ball joint under it. how do i change just the end secton of the steering rack.. Hope you understand.

Ummm Think it might be. it feels abit like underseal. New Subframe in today. MOT PASSED today :-) HAPPPY :-D

Just looking at my pictures. why is my 'old' subframe half painted ??? Was this done when the car was new or along the life of the car :-S I'm still trying work out when the subframe got damaged as i have had the car most of its life :-)

it failed cuz of a 'Dent' on the drivers side. I cant see no major dent. Wheres the best place to get a new subframe :-)

done all off :-) no rusty bolts or nothing :-) it dont even look that damaged Doesnt look like its been round clock no rust no nothing :-) Looks like new

Shouldnt be rusty cars only done 30K. They said its been in a crash. (NEWS to me :-(). I'm jacking it up tomorrow and seeing how bad it is :-).
