This.
I've taken quite a lot of stick from people because I've spent thousands on mine. What they fail to understand is that when I have a car that I really like, I keep it for a long time and make it "my own". The value comes from enjoying the car regarless of cost. If I couldn't afford to do...
I doubt I'll be forgetting anything about networking for a long while. My job role relies on it to such an extent that it's second nature now. I acually emailed my mobile number to someone else in my department the other day... in BINARY!
It's also making my hair fall out :)
If you actually know what you're doing it's no more difficult to configure a router from one OS than it is any other, whether that be via a web interface / GUI or a command line. The platform you're running on has nothing to do with it!
That's funny. I'm pretty sure I just used all my horsepowers and torques flying down the A610. I think I used them on the way to work this afternoon too. Obviously you know more about this than me though, I only drive one about every day and that's nothing compared to the word of a forum warrior.
Exactly. I'll just make do with my 3 year old IBM Thinkpad toss until then.
When it comes out, either the current spec MBP's will be cheaper or I'll get a better spec machine for my money.
17" model has 3 USB ports IIRC, and the 15" and 13" variants have 2.
New version of the MBP is due out soon as well. I'm holding off until then because I can't say I desperately need one.
That's the one. He left me standing when I had a go against him on the A38 a while ago. My car was bog standard back then but I bet his would still be quicker even now.
I had the same cams in my GTi and it overfuelled like a b**ch until it was re-mapped. The map / cam combination will definitely have something to do with the problem, but might not be the only cause.
As said, the CAT could be knackered or just not hot enough.
I've had the same rear pads for nearly 2 years and they've still got half the material left on them.
Fronts I've got through a set about once every 6 months, but I do brake very heavily very often...
I've long held the belief that if someone is completely new to computing, Mac OS is far more intuitive than Windows and they'd find it easier to use.
But if you've been using Windows for years then have to use a Mac it's quite weird getting your head around it.
You mean a red Mk1 ?
Lad with a 'fro driving?
I don't know who he is but I've seen him about loads (I'm from Sutton by the way). That thing absolutely flies!
Use the dock at the bottom of the screen. Anything with a little black arrow underneath it that bounces around is still running. Anything without isn't - simples *sqeak*
EDIT: It's actually a little blue dot nowadays, not a black arrow :o
Yeah, try to make the battery run completely flat quite regularly, then don't take it off charge until it's 100% full again.
Lithium Ion batteries don't really have a "memory" like Ni-Cad ones do, but this process ensures that the digital battery charge indicator stays calibrated and therefore...
What's your network topology? I've seen issues like this before and the cause was due to fragmentation. If you've got a piece of hardware with a maximum MTU that's lower than the client and server in between the two you might experience a few issues (although in reality you shouldn't)
Another...
I've got Sportlines but I've also driven a 182 with Prolines fitted.
In short, Prolines seem a little stiffer and you get a bit less body roll, and Sportlines lower the car more but seem a little bit softer.
Both are a massive improvement over standard springs though.
Oh and if you can wait a...
Hate bonnet bra's. I personally think the car needs more yellow detailing as well in order to pull off yellow wheels.
All IMO of course. It's your car at the end of the day, so respect for doing something different.
Another thing to bear in mind is that the speedo's aren't bang on accurate, so what looks like 60mph on the speedo is probably only about 55 - 57mph. Plus 0-60 is actually normally measured as 0-62mph (0-100kmh). The result... the car will look a little quicker than it actually is (admittedly...
