Er.... this.
It only qualifies as a 0-60 video if you're doing it as quickly as the car possibly can. I don't think Renault claim 0-60 in 26 seconds lol.
I don't know where you got that information. Their book time is 7.6 IIRC.
The 106 GTi's book time was 8.7 and that's the same car as the VTS, and it's common knowledge that Peugeot tested the car at half load to make it appear slower and get it in a lower insurance group.
A Saxo VTS / 106 GTi...
Passenger side is still much easier if you take the bumper off. If he's going to have to take the bumper off to do the driver's side, he might as well do the passenger side at the same time.
Front bumper off (see guides section)
Headlight out (3 bolts, one at each corner of the unit, then unclip the wiring blocks out the back of them)
You can then access the ballast / bulb.
They're the KTR ones IIRC. Same ones they had fitted to Sean's LPT 172 and their KTR26 Megane.
They're not too bad but I don't think I'd have them over Turini's.
Yes, except you'd need completely new pipework and a custom inlet of some sort making up. Plus I bet it'd need hours and hours of mapping, bigger injectors, uprated clutch, etc etc etc.
Be interesting to see though :D
I've had mine for nearly 2 years now and don't intend to get rid of it anytime soon.
While I may get another car in the not too distant future I'll still keep the Clio. I'll probably end up turning it into a track car when I get fed up of using it as a daily driver or when I actually need to get...
My car's on 79k and still on the original box.
It's also been turbo'd for the last 7k or so and it's still fine. Mechanical sympathy goes a long way IMO. If I was to do a couple of 5k rpm launches it'd probably fail in spectacular fashion.
