Yea, I miss the Smart cars 1.5 Diesel lower end power, I dont like revving high, sounds like the cars guna pop.

Yea will be, Considering its a good idea to do the dephaser aswell, and they cost £150 retail!

Go with the 600 quid one. Ask them things like "You got the correct tooling?", "You done one of these engines before?", "How many seals are there?" yes i know these are silly questions to ask a garage, But if he/she gets them correct then you will at least have some peace of mind eh.

I asked that same question when i found that mine had died. But the garage refused to replace without doing the belts aswell as i had oil leak onto the belts. I suppose if they are in as new condition you may be able to convince someone to put them back on after? BUT THIS IS NOT A GOOD IDEA...

The garage said the front section and back box were replaced on mine. He said if i can get a stock part i can have it fitted for an hours labour. prob the cheapest best way of solving the problem tbh

It's mainly the noise inside the car that's a pain. Will ask the garage Tommorow if they can do something about it whilst they are doing the belts.

Wow expensive. Think I will look for a stock exhaust on the bay or a second hand quiet one and fit it myself. Will look for the ktec one aswell :)
