Anyhooooo, After its massive repair it seems much less intrusive for some reason, Not sure why. I wouldnt mind if it was a bit quieter but untill payday it will be fine.
So shopping list:
New Control Panel (for heating to work)...
Go with the 600 quid one.
Ask them things like "You got the correct tooling?", "You done one of these engines before?", "How many seals are there?"
yes i know these are silly questions to ask a garage, But if he/she gets them correct then you will at least have some peace of mind eh.
I asked that same question when i found that mine had died. But the garage refused to replace without doing the belts aswell as i had oil leak onto the belts.
I suppose if they are in as new condition you may be able to convince someone to put them back on after? BUT THIS IS NOT A GOOD IDEA...
The garage said the front section and back box were replaced on mine. He said if i can get a stock part i can have it fitted for an hours labour.
