tonycart,
I was told there are two Pagid Blues, one street and one race. Can you give us the part numbers.
I had been leaning to the Frerodos as I am familiar with them and they are listed in the RenaultSport catalogue...

Never did try that, but it sounds like fun. It would just be carrying my foot fetish that bit further. I would be sure to do it only on warm days though...
Ive lined up with a few 172s going up Kesselschen and found that the Ragnotti pulls away cleanly from them. That would be uphill from about 100km/hr to 180km/hr or so.
Have a look at the aviation tables. Not only do aircraft engines lose power in the heat, but the thinner air requires a higher speed to generate the same amount of lift. On a cold day the plane seems to jump off the runway whilst on a hot one it barely wants to lift off. Makes life...
My car was at -5 when I headed out at 11:30 today.
Never use hot water to clear ice or frost of the glass. It can cause the glass to crack. If it is really cold the water will just freeze up even thicker.
Get a decent scraper or use a credit card in emergencies.
The metal pedals do...
"...the lift-off oversteer is so gradual and predictable that I lapped one particular roundabout 3 or 4 times on my way in one morning…lift-off, wind off some lock, balance on the throttle, repeat ad infinitum."
You really need a track fix! Im looking at 3 months cold turkey at the moment til...
I would recommend the Cup suspension if you are apt to spend any time at all on the track. The additional caster alone will save a bunch in tyre bills.
We get a fair bit of practice at triple digit speeds over here and I can tell you that the only way to go fast is foot to the floor. Anything less than wide open is slower.
Not only Renault makes these mistakes. I ordered a Merc CL55 AMG cabrio in silver, and after waiting for almost a year, went to pick up the car and it was blue! I got a set of R rated winter tyres and AMG alloy wheels in compensation.
I would try to get a set of winter tyres if you need...
Fro street driving stick with the stock pads and discs. They will serve well. I have over 500km of track driving on the street pads on my Ragnotti and they dont fade. Only problem I get is a bit of a deposit on the disc causing judder.
Ill be changing to a more track orieinted pad in the...
Rhys,
Thanks a million for the photographs. That is a nasty casting indeed!
Id be looking to do the job myself and from the looks of it, it seems pretty straightforward.

They had to sell 2500 cups and Ragnottis for homologation purposes but all the information Ive seen pointed to just 300 for France, and it appears that many of these sat at the dealers for some time.
I bought mine in Luxembourg, and as far as I know there were 2 sold there. I wonder if the...
Does anyone know if the Ragnotti was really limited to the 300 that they claimed?
Was it 300 for France and then some for other markets?
It seems that they sold rather poorly even though there were supposedly only 300 built...
Anyone with the inside information on the continental cars?
tonycart,
You say the inlet change is a lot of work. Is it a plug and play or are there other things that need doing? Does everything just bolt together?
Grp N Ecu, Inlet manifold and what else?
Throttle butterfly, injectors?
Waht suspension do you have?
Jean Ragnotti is the famous Renault works driver. He still competes in the classic events with an Alpine and embarasses far more exotic machinery.
The Cup is called the Jean Ragnotti in France and is very subtle with just a plaque with his signature on the INSIDE of the glovebox door.
Im...
The Contis are holding up very well on my Ragnotti after 6 days on the ring. The increased caster seems to give enough negative camber whilst steering to save the outside edge of the fronts. I am running them at 2.1 Bar warm. They are not sticky by any means but they actually are not too bad...
Go with the Cup if you are thinking about doing any track days.
If you are looking for a daily driver think about whether you can live without the rear wiper, my only gripe thus far...
Knock on wood, Ive spent 4 days on the ring with no brake problems other than the stock pads depositing a bit of material on the right front disc.
Lord Lucan, you seem to have a good dealer or maybe a bit of pull due to your social status. The question is: did you kill her? You can tell us...
Most new tyres will feel a bit loose when first fitted. The additional rubber almost always give a feeling of instability compared with the well worn set that you would have been used to.
Check the pressures just to be on the safe side though.
I got as set of Renault mats for my Ragnotti and also bought a set of Renault Rubber mats for the winter months. The rubber mats are in the car now and they really do keep the muck off the floor! Only problem is that the rear mat is a 3 piece affair and the kids keep disconnecting the middle...
