Think I found what you are on about. Il have a play later.
Overclocked the CPU to 4.5 Ghz easily last night. Voltage was 1.285 and stable so room to drop that and increase that speed too. Temps were around 55 on load.
Had an issue with Tomb Raider not starting last night...found the issue to...
NO it happens in Heaven too.
Using GPU-Z to monitor the memory usage of the card. Both cores act the same way (constantly up and down). But only when a second screen was on.
Meh I was just curious as to why it was doing it was all.
It took long enough to download bf3....and then I realized how s**t I am on shooters on a PC in comparison to others!!!
I do have a weird issue though with regards graphics. When I run 2 monitors and have my syncmaster displaying MSI kombustor on a stress test and nothing apart from gpu-z on...
So Ive "finished" and said I wouldnt spend any more monies apart from a few things like headset and a decent keyboard...
Well I was playing with hte eyefinity stuff at the weekend with 3 different monitors (2 the same size and 1 larger) and really liked that.
So yeah now on the look out for 3...
Pretty much done. Just some tidying to do with wires behind mobo tray and sleeve one more PCIE connector to the GPU.
Put the side panel on as well but not screwed in place just incase I need quick access for the next few weeks...its huuuggge
Made my own "Fan splitters" on a piece...
Yeah very Lucky. God knows what they are thing fitting the atx standoffs then 3 random ones. The bottom ones yeah okay they are out of the way but that other one is right in the way. f*****s. Oh well lesson learned!
I played skyrim last night and just activated my 8 free games..although...
Ermm yeah found the issue :o
Did some googling and found others had the same issue and mentioned the mobo standoffs. I was admant all mine were correct....oh how wrong was I! Xigmatek in their wisdow pre-install all the ATX standoffs but then installed 2 further down to accomodate the larger...
Yeah sort it out FFS.
:)
Random post but been having an issue with my ethernet controller not starting (getting a code 10 in Device Manager)...no drivers appear to fix it but just been floating about on the net and People have been saying about an extra riser shorting out on the pcb near...
I have spent quite a bit of time on my cabling...at the minute its all just chucked in as I wanted to boot and get stuff loaded.
I want it to look nice even on the back but I think im just going to live with a bit of messiness at the back but nice and clean inside.
With regards to temps should I be concerned what my loop temperature is? Or as long as each component, CPU and GPU are OK then all is good?
When running heaven I'm seeing my loop warm up to about 26 wish and then goes back down after 10-15 mins to around 20. I am running the fans slow just to...
My "spare" room is probably 18-19 degrees at best! :o (dont have the heating on in there yet.
To be honest even my 7850 whined when quitting heaven benchmark and during it...but this is more noticeable whilst running the benchmark. Seen some instances where running heaven or a stress test...
Sooo temps when idle.. (variance on the last core quite a bit :S)
And during Prime 95
And did some unique heaven tests straight out of the bag (so to speak)
On HIGH
ON ULTRA
And GPU temp never above 41 degress
Although water temp did rise to around 25 but I do need to tweak with...
We have boot :) Water Temp on first boot
Just installed windows 7, all MSI drivers, AMD catalyst. Have a few ? under device manager that im unsure of..il install my wireless adaptor in a bit and check wtf is going on.
Just downloading Afterburner, Kombustor, Core Temp, CPU ID and...
Grrrr. Corsair SP120 "quiet" edition fans are not quiet at all!
It appears that these fans don't like certain fan controllers. Basically out of the 4 sp120's I currently have rigged up, 2 of them make a horrible clicking noise at random voltages/rpm and 2 of them are pretty much silent...
Yeah that may well be a future "upgrade" so to speak. Just thought it would be nice to see the bubbles in the tubing (making it easier to bleed) and to watch the coolant flow through the system. It is my first water loop afterall :o
Well im not really surprised the Aurora stuff clogged things up.. ITs not intended for everyday only show use and is not like the normal Distilled versions (X1) which I have used (distilled water and a bit of colouring)
In fact on the Mayhems site in big red letters is..
"Aurora is "NOT" made...
Water went in last night
Bled air out quite easily although did have one hiccup..the bitspower reservoir ssemed to be leaking slightly around the bottom oring. Its done up silly silly tight and even did it up tighter still whilst connected in the case. annoyingly this moved the top ring out...
Almost there now. Did some more Piping rework tonight just down near the pump end. Fixed the bottom rad in place fully, Tapped out the original supplied screws for the HDD cage so that they would go into my SSD bracket...that worked a treat and the originals had too big a thread to go into the...
Probably run out of posts but just had a random thought whilst walking the dog....
Do I really need to come out of the bottom of the graphics card? I know it says you can use any "port" as an inlet/outlet but dont know if i can m u 2 ports next to each other??
Redid just now. So now it goes Pump---Bottom Rad---Top Rad---CPU---GPU---RES
Looks a lot neater now. Im going to be making a few mods to the case to hide the pump under a shelf using some plexi and carbon wrap (possibly). Also some plexi down the sides to cover the side drive...
Yeah I thought about utilising the cable grommets and doing it like that actually.
As soon as I "wired" it up last night I said FFS that looks s**t! The only thing that may make it look untidy going that route is the top rad is crossflow so Id have to come into the Radon the Right side near...
Thinking about it I could move the other rad up the top and have the DVD drive and sensor moved.
That would mean at the top I would come out of one rad and go straight into the other rad then into the top of the inlet of the reservoir. And then at the pump end I would come straight out of...
Did some plumbing tonight..all done bar the fill port link so far
Only thing im not too sure about is the tube coming from the rad to the input of the GPU
Any ideas on if that looks "messy" and how to improve it? I thought about flipping the rad the other way but would still have...
Not far off finishing now.
Reservoir is in place, New fan controller in, All waterblocks and fittings are in place to figure our tubing runs.
Front Rad is installed on brackets in the HDD bays and I can still use one of the cages for mounting HDD and SSD...although brought a SSD to 3.5"...
YEah I had the same with Fallout 3 and Fallot NV...just kept crashing no matter what overclock was set other then standard. Every other game was fine just those 2...more so on Fallout 3 actually as I suppose its a little "older"
