I've had 2 1.6's as well. In my opinion they are a nice 'inbetween' car if you want to step up to a sport one day, I also enjoyed driving mine and can't remember having any major problems, you'll probably find there are quite a few on here who have owned them.

I headed up to clio turbo (now based in durham) for my belts, if you don't mind a trip out then Andy is well worth a call. We also have birchdown who are cheshire way who also have a good rep. As Anthony said pop down and ask if they have the correct tools, any mention of the word tippex...run...

It's standard height as far as Im aware buddy, it just had me and my neighbour in it who between us have quite a high combined weight so probably get it sitting nice!

Saw a blue cup on morrisons roundabout in cleveleys about 5 pm yesterday? I didn't recognise it. Also a BG182 with gold stickers on it at halfords Blackpool at about 6pm (an hour from cleveleys to squires gate..wasn't happy). And then saw some chap in an inferno on the way home too, oh hey...

What are peoples preferred pads at present? I need to restock up and thought I would ask before going with my usual chemical guys hexlogic ones.

I had a set of 172 wheels refurbished by the guys below, they are round at bamber bridge, not the cheapest (circa £200 I paid so certainly not horrendous) but I couldn't fault the work. http://www.wheelrepair.co.uk/

I haven't looked into it any further at present buddy, everything I read/was advised on was pointing towards nothing destructive happening and the car appears to be running okay so I've just been plodding on for now, I'll keep an eye on it and if it gets worse I'll do something more proactive...
