Somebody I know is selling a brand new (only fitted but never used) Pure Motorsport cat-back for 182 with upgraded mounts etc for £400. Pretty much best system you can currently buy new for the 182. Let me know if you are interested and want details.
Top, top work. Looks like your efforts have paid off massively.
Did you get it for a good price given it had just been stood and paint was in poor condition?
Please source a centre cap for the front left Turini :p
Looking into buying a pair of new driveshafts for the Trophy.
Always prefer to buy genuine stuff.
K-Tec have both sides on their site, but phoned them today, one is about 3-4 days from Renault, the other has no timescale from Renault. Need them within the next couple of weeks (ish) to go with...
Nice to see another Trophy owner on here. Looks a well kept and nice example.
Go to RenaultPartsDirect (often referred to as RPD) for the rear number plate light, about £8 for a brand new genuine one including bulb. Just bought one myself, makes a big difference.
As for steering wheel, either...
So when I bought the car, noticed the right centre air vent appears to be broken in some way.
None of the slats are snapped, but they don’t appear to be connected to the slider part as can evidently be seen.
Is there a way of replacing these? Is it a dash top off job?
I don’t mind taking top...
Now I have done it once, I think I could do it in about an hour to hour and a half. Not particularly hard, just a pain getting to the cables behind! Don’t be surprised if your garage hates you afterwards
Yes, you can’t get your hands behind otherwise to disconnect the plugs and heater...
Small update on the Trophy.
Not driven it that much, but that has been nice because on the odd occasion I do, it always feels really special.
So, main thing I wanted to do over this weekend was fit a bluetooth headunit so I could play my own tunes!
As most Trophy owners know, the heater...
Just want to double check that these are the correct replacement ball joints for a 182 (with Cup/Trophy suspension)?
Pretty sure this is the case as they are the 12mm ones. If I remember correctly, you can get 10mm ones too which are incorrect.
Thanks for any help.
Absolutely love it mate. Not had much time to enjoy driving it yet mind. It’s a second car as I have a TDI Golf for the daily commute to work and back, but makes it feel even more special when I do have get round to driving it.
Have you driven #366 yet then, as I see you mentioned you’ve not...
Thanks mate. You’re absolutely right I am a nightmare, but I plan on keeping this one!
They can be picked up for about £5-6k for higher mileage examples which need some work/tlc.
Lower mileage and best examples can range anywhere between £8-12k, perhaps even a little higher for concours...
Hi guys,
I'm back in a Clio again! Just can’t seem to stay away!
I sold the Liquid Yellow 265 Trophy back in December, so I only had it for about 2 months or so (yes I know, I never keep any car more than 2 minutes!).
Must admit, I just feel more at home in a Clio. I’m a pretty capable...
Yes definitely keep it.
When you first mentioned you were potentially “thinking” of selling to have the Cup as a project instead, I almost messaged you to say I would buy it. Always wanted a Racing Blue, and I’d have paid you decent money as not bothered about mileage when you can see a car has...
Just interested to know if anybody can recommend a good sprayer if I wanted bumper/bonnet spraying for example?
In the Hampshire area or fairly near.
Would be wanting a very good job therefore fully expecting to pay more than the average place.
Thanks
I know SprayShack used to make the smoothed bullets for Ph2 Clio’s but I don’t think they’re around any longer?
Are we still able to get smoother bullets from somewhere else or not?
Ash
Love it mate! Been waiting for the day you bought a Trophy.
Keep it standard, align the exhaust and then a freshen up of any small parts and job done!
Quite like the Lupo GTI next to it in the previous owners’ pic too.
Enjoy it bro.
@PhillipM do you happen to be the same bloke that used to make (or might still do!) the lower front strut braces for a 306 GTI? Going back quite a few years now but I had one on my Diablo Red GTI-6! Just intrigued if it is you.
Nothing much to update at the moment, and the weather has been pretty rubbish which is less than ideal when running Nankang NS2-R’s!
Have made my first parts purchase for the Megane though... a set of brake bells and rotors came up for sale for a good price, barely used and in great condition...
Saw you this morning coming out of Fareham, you were waiting to turn out of junction near Turnpike Tyres.
Didn't catch the reg, but car looked nice!
I was in the yellow Megane.
Being the person who bought this car off you, I can confirm this side is certainly the better to have taken a photo of 😅 (i.e. the side that didn't get paint).
Appreciate all the nice comments everybody!
I know you won't believe me, but this one is a keeper! 😅 I have been wanting one for a while but they don't often come up with a spec like this one.
Thanks mate. At first I thought the same about the side graphics, but they have actually really...
Hi guys,
I'm back again!
Picked up my new car today... kept it RenaultSport and went for a Megane 265 Trophy in Liquid Yellow! @SharkyUK this is what I was on my way to view when I went past you on the A34 on Monday!
It is a fairly big spec, some of you might even know or recognise the car...
Thanks Andy! I was en route to viewing and test driving my replacement for the Monaco! I've paid a deposit so details will be posted up on here once I collect it!
