Thanks mate, yours was looking good too. Yes well I was travelling up with the two guys in the silver Celica (my dad and bro) and they hadn't warned me they were turning off to that Shell so when I went past that lorry following them, I suddenly realised they were going into Shell! I wasn't best...
Latest update then...
Firstly, a good friend of mine has a mint Trophy which he is soon to be putting up for sale. He had his Turini's refurbished in a dark anthracite a little while ago, and since he is now selling his Trophy, he bought another set of freshly refurbished Trophy Turini's in the...
Hi guys,
Have noticed in my 182 that when I come to a junction and put the indicator on, I go to turn and as I start to straighten up the indicator always cancels before the steering wheel gets anywhere near back to centre.
Any ideas why this is? Not a big issue as such but just an annoying...
@Paris 182 these are the mats I got... http://www.renaultpartsdirect.co.uk/product/renault-clio-2-carpet-mat-set/
The ones @DJR1210 have put up are the genuine 'Renault Sport' ones. Mine are genuine Renault but not 'Sport'. Only reason I went for them is I don't like the silver outside trim...
Ok will see you there Stef.
@optical I got it from eBay, it is this one... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/121049273410?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
Bargain for £13.85, really good fit too.
Only a small update.
Bought a few little bits over the last week just for a bit of a freshen up, consisting of:
Boot mat
Genuine Renault mats
Bosch aero front wipers
Genuine Renault rear wiper
Genuine Renault number plate lens with new LED bulb
Mist washer jets
Osram Diadem indicator bulbs for...
Just a small update.
Had the Milltek exhaust fitted by Mike at Rentech. Very happy with it, much quieter than the Yozza and the sound is just a tad sportier than stock which is exactly what I wanted.
Picture of it during fitting/aligning...
And all fitted and tightened up...
Whilst...
This was my old car which I built to this spec. Project thread when I had it: http://www.cliosport.net/threads/ashers-bg-182.773952/
Nice to see it is in the hands of a CS member. I did see it when it was advertised on eBay last week.
Just needs the plates changing and Orbisoud exhaust...
I did buy it from Tonka yes, and I am very happy with it. Drives very well indeed.
Before selling it he was running Trophy Sachs on it, along with Speedline 2118's, Whiteline Rear ARB etc etc so yes I don't think any expense has been spared! He also used to leave it stored in a garage during...
Most of you guys will remember my previous car, the BG 182 which I bought completely standard and turned to Trophy spec.
Here is a pic and the build thread from here also: http://www.cliosport.net/threads/ashers-bg-182.773952/
I sold it last October, and have regretted it ever since. I have...
Yes it is Tonka's one.
Haven't taken many pictures yet, but here are the only ones I have of it on my driveway which I literally took as soon as I got it home, before it was cleaned!
Will try to get some better pictures and a thread up at the weekend.
Yes that was me @Paul172sport
Only had it a couple of days, picked it up on Monday. Needed to be back in another Clio, will get some pictures up soon.
Your car was looking as good as ever.
Pleased to here they're staying!
As for Brembo's I think red would clash with wheel colour, in my opinion of course. If it was me then either black yes, or maybe a dark/anthracite grey. Look nice behind the colour of the wheels.
Yep, The Wheel Specialist in Fareham, nice bunch of chaps down there.
Porsche Sport Classic Grey. I gave them the paint code and had to pay extra for paint to be ordered. It was a gamble as never seen it before, but they look the nuts. Amazing colour.
Look after her Matt, I know you will...
So I said farewell to my absolute pride and joy today. Was really hard seeing it being driven off, it looked absolutely immense, have never seen it driven by anybody else before. But the new owner is a really nice chap, this is his 3rd Clio Sport, and I know he will look after it. He said he...
Just put up in the classifieds... http://www.cliosport.net/threads/clio-197-200-refurbished-gearbox.783592/#post-10910299
Might be a better option than getting yours done?
Yeah ok mate just drop me a message. Probably will still be here by then I would imagine.
Yeah that is the thing, would be very difficult to find one at the level I have mine at, particularly given how fussy I am with cars.
That Ph1 was lush, there will never be another like that I wouldn't think.
Yeah just send us a message or something, whenever you are free I'll pop up, I am about most of the time. Be good to see the '32 as well.
I almost want to sell it on the terms of being able to buy it back when I want after getting a house! Doubt there is a better driving 182.
I am gutted too.
Selling due to trying to buy a house in the near future. Going to go without a car for a while (don't live far from work at all), and do some hardcore saving. Will hopefully be back in another soon enough, but I know I won't find anything as good, plus it's nice knowing I got...
Not a massive amount to update on.
Bought a pair of new Magnetti branded BMW 1 series boot struts for the tailgate, no longer falls on my head!
Bought a boot mat to tidy up the rear, and also a genuine Renault 'Elf oil top up kit' (1L of Elf SXR 5w40) which attaches via some velcro on the...
Guys,
I want to try and get to the bottom of a steering problem I am having.
Some of you may know my car (Black Gold 182 Trophy Spec) as I have a build thread on here fully documenting all work undertaken on my car.
Anyway, within the last 2 months, all of the following work has been...
Thanks mate :)
Thanks for the kind words :)
Yeah glad I stayed with Turini's, so happy with the colour. Look so much better in person, so many comments on them.
Alignment I had done at Nad UK who is in Littlehampton. Bit far to travel but he fitted all my suspension and knows what he is...
Time for bit of an update.
First up, booked the car in with Rentech on Friday, to have the following done:
Fit new genuine power steering pump
New power steering fluid
Coolant change
Fit new genuine expansion tank bottle
Oil and filter change with Motul 300V oil, and also fit a Gold magnetic...
Yeah was put on on Friday. As I say, with a microfibre cloth and some elbow grease it does eventually come off. Just going to be a fair amount of work. Just wondered if there was something that would make it easier, but perhaps not.
Hi guys,
Had a set of wheels refurbished last week, and had them sealed with Gtechniq C5 Wheel Armour. Quite expensive stuff, designed to last for at least a year.
Problem is, when they fitted them, they didn't leave enough time for the sealant to cure before putting them on the car. Hence...
