Just find it easy to use for that sort of thing. Not really used Maps for a wide range of place searching before only location of towns etc.

Presume you used Vicinity for at least some of that? Going to test mine in London next weekend.

As sn00p says for the GPS to get working leave it outside for a while and it does work. Now mine has got it once it seems to be better and get it picks it up more often now, it either seems to be great and spot on or doesn't find you at all.

Best bet is to contact the guys on iFixIt and they should put you in the right direction. You can get all the original iPhone parts but not the 3G parts from them just yet.
