Sorry - my post made completely no sense. All that will happen is that they will ask you to opt in to the blocking service. It is not an opt out service so I fail to see the problem.

Stupid to get a 3GS now imo, it is a 2 year old phone. Go for a top Android such as the Galaxy S2 or HTC Sensation.
