On initial startup it felt an sounded clunky. So I was worried
I slowly turned it up to full chat and left it on cruise for about 20 seconds, then gradually brought the speeds back down. Feels well run in now. Seemed to sort out the slight clunking anyway

Not a bad idea IMO, slight cut pad (white hex) too could achieve good results and not too dangerous for the soft paint
