Well assuming you didnt touch anything over on the driver side of the engine when you had the gearbox off? Maybe check connections to the ECU and earths.

You've not disturbed/damaged the crank sensor or wiring?

Get a friend to press the clutch while you watch it inside the engine bay to make sure it's pulling properly. Might be the cable is streched.

I use NGK PFR7B's in my F4RT FWIW.

I thought I was the only onle that happened to, the fluid ran out the top of the bottle and was quite hot after doing a day at croft. Never boiled the PS fluid in any other cars, silly french!

If you're on a budget wait for a cheap F4r to come up and straight swap, you don't sound like you've got the best knowledge so something not standard is a bad idea. You can pick up engines cheap, I've just sold my excellent running ph1 for 175 quid.

Could be looooads of things causing a lack of power. I wouldn't jump to the conclusion of timing straight away. Could be some sort of engine troubles, could be summit to do with your setup, could be summit daft like your tracking, could be the way the operator sat the car on the rollers, could...

If it's scored throw it in the bin, I'd be checking the top end also before you only replace the bottom end. If oil starvation has caused the spun shell then the top end could have suffered from starvation as well, best to check the cams for scoring too...

Crank + shells + rods + gasket set + head bolts + belt kit + time (minimum) = ££££££ Easier and cheaper to replace the engine me thinks.

Defo the death knock! When it sounds like that it's too late to save the crank. New engine time!

Lets not jump to conclusions. Get a vid of the noise first before everyone decides the bearings have gone and you put an engine in.

The cams in an engine I bought don't look standard, and they've got what looks like a part number stamped onto them. Anyone have any ideas of what they might be? Inlet... Exhaust Ta.
