Mine was just under 3k. Its mint but with 80k miles (only two owners), from a dealer with some warranty. Plus its a 53 plate so has cruise and ESP.
I hunted for months with a budget of 3k and i disagree with the above, its not easy to find one for that price thats mint, but they are out there...
Torque to weight ratio is more important for everyday road driving! As above with regard to handling and braking though. Also all those with heavy alloys on the end of their hubs need to worry about unsprung weight! and watch out for missing spiggot rings!!!
Mine did this today too, even though it was cleaned by the garage on friday. I switched it off then on and it didn't do it again the rest of the journey. Wierd!
Hmm, an evo with high miles is abit scary!!
Like all, if its got good service then high miles isn't an issue. Likelyhood of suspension and clutches to be on there last legs is higher though
Looks an ok car for the money. Good mileage but i bet it has no history and no belt change (there are due at 72k)
I bet you could get it for 2k given this
The filter, exhaust and clutch would put me off though but i do nearly 500 miles a week and wanted a standard one!
Its most likely to be th edogbone mount underneath. Having mine changed this week also. I ordered the powerflex one form KAM racing. £34 delivered. Apparently quite easy to fit. I looked under the car at this mount with engine running and its obvious how much engine movement this one controls...
You can't help some people eh!!
Mine is currently back with the garage that sold it to have a similar problem fixed, on a phase 2 though...Any difference to the above method? (apart from the butterflies are obviously controlled by wire)
Cheers for the tips, mine is going back for warranty work (engine lights now on and poor running!) so seeing if i can get the garage to do it as well as this
Mine too has cruise and limiter and has this click
My other one was a 2002 model without cruise etc and had no clicky bit at the end of pedal travel, so maybe non cruise models dont have it
I'll be doing this soon when my parts arrive from KAM. So its best to jack under the engine? I have access to an inspection pit which helped me diagnose my knocking noise (manifold on subframe) but it would be alot easier if i didn't jack engine!
Might take some pics for mini guide if i get...
Yeh thats not too bad then if you have the contacts and can get it for 3k. I doubt he'll knock £800 off though but worth a try!
HPI didn't pick up on the one i nearly ended up with that had a bent rear axle!!
I was the same. I don't agree with paying until you've bought one, now i got one, i'm all paid up!

I know its low miles but it sounds like lots needs doing - I'd look for another.
As for tracking, if its rear tracking then its NOT adjustable so be careful, if its had a rear end bump it'll need a new rear axle! One key is worrying too. They're over £100 to sort. You'll be spending a grand...
Anyone know a place in the midlands that can supply and fit these bushes? I'm getting the knocking in 1st/2nd gear under hard accelleration. From what i've read i'm guessing dog bone mount but not sure i fancy fitting it myself
