check that it was serviced at 12k by Renault, do a search on here for common problems, there are some but once sorted the car will be fine....
Enjoy!!! :)
So how do you loose out if you paid less for it to start with? The depreciation is the same...and if you intend to keep it for a while anyway you loose less the older the car gets, as they all tend even out price wise after 3 years anyway. :)
ha ha ha ha ha ha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! cant believe the depths some dealers will go to!!!
Get your self an EU import brand new from a car supermarket, call Renault UK upgrade the warranty to 3 years (its free!!) And enjoy your car, youll have no more (and hopefully less) problems than anyone...
Ive had the same one changed twice and now its leaking from the whole unit (only when used) but I really cant be arsed with all the hassel the dealers give you....its only a washer ball..should it really take weeks just to get the right part in?
Youd think Id asked em to put a V6 engine in...
I always notice, williams, 16v, 172s AND Cups and always have a good look, they all stand out to me, but then Im tuned into them!! :)
My car ignorant friend, loves my car, it was the first time shes ever noticed that Id changed my car in 10 years (thats a lot of cars!). She sees it as a man...
Get two, enjoy and cane one of them, wrap the other in bubble wrap....cant have it both ways with one car lol!!
BTW can some one please tell me what homologation means, sort of know, but not 100% sure...ta
I think that the back end looks really good :)
I like the understated look, but put a 172 next to any other Clio of the same age and it’s not so inconspicuous…...the perfect mix I think, apart from the standard wheels, the mark2 really missed out there!!
The k-tec one above is very nice...
Do a search using the search button at the top, theres lots on here about imports and warrenty...:)
All cars are imports from France, as long as its from the EU it will be the same spec as sold by UK dealerships apart from the alarm, it wont have one.
All imports have the same 3 years warrenty
JAY172 you have a cup so I dont know what the difference will be for you, I didnt think that my 172 was a hard ride as standard, but Ive always had hot hatches so maybe my idea of not hard is someone else hard...if that makes sense?
Harder than it was, but not over hard, the CD doesnt jump and I can still do speed humps (slowly!)...feels nice and solid without any roll if ya know what I mean ;)
Those adapters are big and its only a small space behind there, the back of my Sony kept on pulling out the plugs on the panel above (heated rear windscreen etc) I had to struggle like crazy to fit every thing in back there!! I was going to try and fit an adapter as well until I saw it!!
If...
Get it checked, I think the xenon bulbs are suposed to last for the life of the car?! Could just have come loose, but dont mess with it just incase they blame you....they are very expensive to replace.
Ring Renault UK customer services, give them the reg and they should be able to tell you, mines (what Renault UK call) an import and there is nothing on the car to tell, apart from the fact that it cost £s less!!!! Nothing wrong with that!!
Plus the fact that they are all imports anyway...
