I killed one on my first driving lesson took its head clean off.
Almost killed one yesterday that ran out on me but had enough time to stop and scare it off the road.
Hope the damage isnt too serious.
No about the same to 60, 172 is quicker to 100 by 1 second. Cupra is good for 146mph though.
172 should handle better though.
Cupra R looks excellent up close, on its 18" alloys, test drove one and quite liked it but I was looking for a smaller car and the 172 handled a lot better.
I use Turtle wax due to it not being abrasive. Autoglym is abrasive like most polishes so after a while your car will start to appear less shiny. I had my car silversealed so have to use non abbrasive products to keep the three year paint warranty.
Also use Autoglym Gloss protection and apply...

Wow, black is the best colour on any car.
I love the alloys.
That is the best looking 16v I have ever seen.
Still like the current crop of Clios, but you have vastly improved my opinion on the older style Clios.

Has anyone bought and fitted an alluminium gear surround? I just bought a Richmond one for a 98+ Clio that does not come close to fitting.
If anyone has, where did you get it from as I would really like to find one.
Thanks
Hello
If MJA imported your car from Europe it will not have an alarm only an immobiliser. You can fit a much better alarm than the Renault one for between £200 and £300.

Welcome, my 172 still puts a smile on my face and even after 3 1/2 months still look out the window at it.
Gaz2130 - Black is the only colour to get, ;)
Contact your local Renualt dealer to get your manuals in English.
Have fun.

A fifteen grand car is still a lot of money, if Renault did an OK job on 90% of their cars in the first place they would make more money overall. Like James I will not put up with bad workmanship and so far my rattles arnt that bad, I do not expect a hand crafted car but surely they can put a...

I had Motorpoint install their Cat1 alarm, Sigma I believe, it got me £50 off my insurance as it is better than the one Renualt fit. No problem with the dash, no marks or signs they removed it, very happy with the alarm so far.
