Fred lets Yoz near that car at all on pain of death ... there are rules and conditions attached to the sale of that car, believe me !!! one of them is that Fred stays alive and another is that Yoz does not ever sit in the driving seat ... !!! ;) ;) ;)
I told you to get a black one in the thread where you asked about the colour Fred, I knew you had to do it !!
and I agree, the smile factor is the best bit !! :)
enjoy hon :)
I believe so, should see it around still - got a promise to be able to have a drive at trackdays, so that's one thing - got the Trophy still, but nice as it is, it isn't a Vee - not sure how it will be replaced yet.
it's gone, sold :dapprove:
We will miss it a lot :(
Still, onwards to the next, whatever it may be.
I hope the new owner enjoys it as much as we did !! I'm sure he will :D :D
I drive a mk2 V6 - never even been in a mk1  so I cannot compare.
I have done 42k in ours, since Feb 04, it has been serviced and cleaned, and nothing more. It has been on track - Bedford, Spa, Brands Hatch - it has had a new set of tyres (I obviously treat the tyres with respect !!!) and...
^^ it does have a bigger tank, but not that much bigger - 60 litres compared with 50 litres I believe, but mine does average of 25 mpg not 21 or under -
I drive a Golf 2.0 TDI (50 miles a day most days) - it's better looking that the Fabia in my opinion, but it's "dead" to drive, power on, power off, brakes on, brakes off and not a lot more !!!!
sorry, I have to disagree with this statement.
We have a Trophy (which is just for trackdays) we have had 172's and Cup and also we have a V6 and a BMW diesel - previously a Clio diesel - and as long as I can afford it I never resent putting petrol in the V6 - even at the moment with Optimax...
I'm sure we have a member/forum user somewhere in Bedfordshire with a petrol blue 182 don't we? Can't believe they haven't looked in here - I was even driving the V6 when I passed him (not overtaking, just going the other way) !!!
I am female, and no, I don't remember noticing a Trophy at the Milbrook crossroads - but having driven back from London, all I ever want to do is get home !!!
