your never going to really remove swirls by hand, as mentioned above AutoGlym SRP is probably your best bet, but that only masks swirls by filling in the gaps.
There are purpose swirl removing products but your arm will fall off before you see results!
i did the front ones on my 172 the weekend, just use meg APC, a wire brush and smooth silver hammerite!
i wasn't after anything fancy, they look pretty good, i'll get some photos up
My mate has offered me a set of 172 alloys in anthracite with Toyo T1'r.
One tyre needs changing, other 3 are pratically new.
How much are they worth? None of the wheels are curbed.

I get a strange knocking noise when pulling away and when I come of the accelerator or going down a hill. It doesn't happen under acceleration.
It's sounds like it's coming from under my feet / drivers side wheel, suspension maybe.
It doesn't happen all the time, sometimes it knocks once and...

My mate has some brand new -35mm lowering spring that he brought for his Renault 5, are the suspension parts interchangeable between the 2 cars?
if so, i have some free loweing springs?:)
the gaitor is loose all around the base and when i go in reverse it comes out the hole?
the clip around it is stapled to the gaitor so does in need a new gaitor and clip?
i.e do they come as a unit?
i have been a cheapskate and have brought euro car part 182 repeaters!:o
The fit is awful, i'm taking them straight back!

But those pubs have little busy cars parks, how about the himley house, just down the road, that is slighty bigger, or himley hall park, lots of parking on there!
