The drive was very easy tbh, worked well! My MINI isn't exactly comfortable but the roads were pretty decent and the journey was fine. Andy thanks for the explanation, still confused!

It was about £140 in fuel. Including a 70 mile journey from my house to Folkestone each way.

Very nice upgrade over the Jetta. I'm amazed you went for something at the complete other end of the scale in terms of performance and running costs! Glad the heart ruled the head ;) De-stripe, black wheels, Eibach springs and remap ;)

If you're not in a rush to get the car back, order some second hand parts to help keep the costs down. Or are you going through insurance?
