I would have thought the adaptor would seat into the bottom of the M12 hole like the original brake line. Did the adaptor have a taper on the m12 male end and does the M10 female have a taper at the bottom for the brake line flare to seat into? - something like the attached. If so you should be...
Cheers! Intake temps on my logging are low - the headlight intake provides plenty of cool air flow. I may at some stage but not a priority. I did just install a quality intercooler so hopefully solves my boost dropoff at high rpm. Should be on track this weekend to see...

I'm sure the lack of responses is because there are plenty of build threads with most answers. Anyway, engine is not exactly the same - meg engine means you will also need a meg gearbox.

Yep, they were original height and on the carpet. Would not want to be any higher than that (and lower if possible!).

Took the height adjustment out and made mounting points. If you removed the plastic skirt they could possibly go a little lower. Look forward to seeing how it goes.

Meg 3 seats into a 172. Don't underestimate how much height needs to come out. These were done with aftermarket sliders and bespoke mounts.

Engine bay tarted up and ready for the track on Wednesday. Installed the turbosmart recirculation valve (can also see the turbosmart dual port wastegate actuator in the pic). Also had a small oil leak on the turbo oil return to seal and a couple of other little fixes. Love the colour the...
It's a hafco mill lathe in one (remember I'm in Aus but it's a generic machine). Lathe works well but a bigger more solid mill head would be good.

Turbo upgade finished. Now running a twin scroll borg warner efr 7163. Good for up to 600hp all in such a tiny responsive package.
Along with the manifold I welded up a new 3" stainless exhaust
Took it for tuning. First problem was the wastegate not allowing enough boost even with the...
You can avoid drilling (plus the top 2 give you camber adjustment):

Not sure on your coil problem (seems pretty unrelated unless they have done something to the wiring getting the headers out) but welding it with a sick welder is classic!

Mine went straight in the rollers and seems to make ok power! You'll need a mineral/break in oil which you can change once tuned. But as mentioned before probably best to follow your engine builders instructions.

Manifold competed. As with so many things on this car got lucky with space and turbo fits perfectly. Next, weld new intake and exhaust pipes, make up water, oil and breather lines, relocate expansion and breather tanks.

Cheers! Yeah, setup is crucial. Boost by gear & throttle position, wide rubber, lsd etc all bring it together. That car in the vid looks aweful to drive (not to mention the drivers poor handwork!). Unfortunately the car is in Australia so little chance of making it out to any UK tracks.

Out with the log manifold and in with some tubes! New mani cut and tacked today. Twin scroll Borg Warner EFR7163 to go on top. Like it needs more power but as my engine builder says "I never met a horsepower I didn't like"!

Although I encourage work to be done at home, brakes (please note the spelling) might be something you want to get someone to assist you with for the first time (which I assume it is from the questions) being a critical safety component. To answer your questions, you should be ok with those...
Probably is on a normal Clio but this car is significant wider and running on 255's which can chew standard wheel bearings in a day or two - there is a lot of twisting force there - in saying that it is stiff! Think grippy rubber on the back will be just right - only one way to find out!
Have...
Rear beam installed along with PMS arb and upgraded stub axle/disc/bearing kit. Also through some Hankook Z221's on the front - great tyre for sure, every bit as good as the DZ03.
Got out to Wakefield again - managed to find myself facing the wrong direction a couple of times with the new...
Cheers!
Work in finance so not much overlap there! Always been mechanically inclined and I figure if someone else can do it why can't I!

PMS strengthened beam along with their upgraded stub axle kit with larger bearings and ARB. On track next weekend....

As mentioned the abs rings on the cup shafts I had were about twice the width as to sit far enough across to line up with the sensor on the cup hubs so i used the cup rings - same number of teeth.

When I moved to 60mm hubs I just subbed in the abs rings (which are double width). Everything else remained the same although my car is widened (and was so on the 54mm hubs too) so I can't be 100% for a stock car.

If you're running the stock meg turbo then the ED downpipe will not fit (it's made for a log manifold onto a T25 style turbo). Unfortunately being is Aus my recommendations for shafts are not useful! Good luck.
