Yep I agree!....Even though there nice cars they dont have the same following. Ask anyone with a small amount of knowledge what a Williams Clio is and they know...ask about a CUP and they havent a clue!.........Plus its not a thoroughbred!
You cant tell if its had a new cambelt! Fit a new one to reduce the chance of failure anyway!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.....Ive seen cambelts fitted by Service shops which have snapped in under 1k...........doesnt happen that often but its worth replacing then YOU know for sure its done!
I didnt have any problems with mine...........mind you I changed the cam belt and then serviced it every 3k. Parts are expensive I think but they are fun to drive. ........You need a FSH and standard in my opinion then if your into mods its your personal choice what needs to be done....Although...
Prob be shot or even executed! .........maybe just a lashing or walk the plank...mind you thats way above the speed limit so no excuses really are there..........maybe a 3 month ban and high insurance costs
common fault on Rens are the rads and cooling systems are crap! I have had 3 clios and numerous other Rens and they all have had Rad failure!......Doesnt happen on the other cars I get.
There basically the same ones as Bearings are manufactured mainly by 2 japanese companies!......99% of the car manufactures use these bearings.
How do I know? I was working with a Dr in Cranfield whos working for one of them.
