well i'm going on experience and what bernie at CPS told me..that the box was fine for road use once the diff which was the weak point was eliminated.
he said the box was strong enough when rebuilt properly unless running slicks..
has been fine so far..
i have a gripper fitted on a road car..its not noisy but its worlds apart from a standard diff. loads of grip etc great turn in..
well worth doing..i am running around 250bhp though..at the moment till its mapped properly..anyway just my opinion..
plus i went gripper as it was recommended by...

noticed you stripped the rear but left the plastics in..i did also on a mk1 but managed to get van plastic which don't have the shelf bit on them and...
can some times push the calipers back in without opening a bleed nipple..most people do..can sometimes cause the master cylinders seals to turn/damage..etc..not very often but can happen..
well i've seen 378bhp in a road going clio....seen an F7R produced 618bhp and i think that betwen 350 and 400bhp is well usable on a road going clio...thats what i'm aiming for once mine remapped..
and i will run less than 400bhp if it makes the car more usable but i think at the moment it will...
bottom end fine but top end has 1 snapped valve and more than likely a scored bore
not being picky but if it has a scored bore then the bottom's end not fine...worth scrap value unless its stripped and inspected...
