typical, whats problem youve got now? oh and if youve given it a clean make sure you give it a really good greasing. i used spray grease (not the white stuff) and that helped a lot with a sticky throttle which started after it was cleaned.
ignore this just found your other thread
pretty sure there is a screw on the throttle body on ph1 that determines where the throttle body returns to at idle and can be adjusted with a small allen key. if you look top down at the throttle body whilst in situ, its at the back on the top. turn the black plastic disc by hand and as it...
take your standard one off and fill all the gaps with tiger seal (polyurethane sealant). Couldnt get hold of a polybush for mine little while back as the factory burnt down so done this. Worked a treat and drives a lot nicer now.
swap them back round and see if it solves the problem. its the only way you'll know if its the tyres or not. if it still does it with the pe2's on the back try changing the shocks.
flux did the same to me, put it up by £130. got a quote from sky and chrisknott and they both beat flux by a long way with mods declared, but tbh ck was cheaper by quite a bit than sky, however gonna ring sky again on monday and see what they can do.
have a look in engine and gearbox bit, theres a thread on throttle pedal sticking, read through and thatll help you, im on phone so cant post a link though
so true^ looks like ive managed to sort mine too, took it off again earlier, cleaned it all off as used cheap, white grease before. Then smothered it in wd40 after giving where it was catching on the inside a little rub down. Next was to drown it in some spray grease used for bike chains etc...

Took mine off over the weekend and cleaned, greased to buggery every part that moves and i could see where the flap has been catching on the inside. Used wet and dry on it till it stopped scraping. put it back on and its better, but not by a lot. the pedal feels notchy as i push down so driving...
Ive got my ph1 on dark grey oz f1's at the moment but had to valet a ph2 non sport with them on the other day and they look much better in real life. Now contemplating getting a set so anyone help me out?
ive got a similar thing at the moment, taken the pedal off and cleaned then greased so thats fine, new throttle cable, and when i had some work done recently at jms they cleaned up the throttle body whilst it was off, and ive greased it up but no success. The only thing i noticed today was the...
should have got pics really but nevermind. I filled the gaps and then packed it out as much as i could, then just ran an old ruler around the face of the bush to smooth it off. You could always fill the gaps first, then finish at a later date if its not enough. Easier to add than take away i...
yeh im still unsure how its gonna fare but time will tell, ill just check it once a week, but its basically one big lump of sealant now so it shouldnt fall apart too easily. Once the weather warms up and i know i wont be using the car for a few days ill probably have a go at the upper mount too.
Was going to get the mount polybushed but everywhere i spoke to was out of stock for the inline so i thought sod it and bought a QH replacement. this ended up being worse than the original fecked item, so whilst i had the standard one sat there i thought id fill it with tiger seal and leave it...
To be fair i like the mag, but as said it is pretty unproffesional, especially if someone who didnt know what they were doing started to order parts for their f7r powered 172 on the basis of that write up. Got bored and emailed them anyway but its not as if they can do anything about it.
Yeh the newest issue with a chrome r35 gtr on the front. May fire them an email if i get bored. never used to buy it but theyve had some useful bits in recent issues, just makes me wonder how mush of it was correct now, lol
Just wondered if anyone else had spotted their, ''5 steps to get the most out of your 1*2'' at the back of the latest magazine?
According to them they're fitted with an F7R lump, and that if you go for some adjustable coilovers the rear torsion bar will need adjusting, which is a job for the...
im thinking you may get flamed for having them matched to the gaskets.
either way hope it makes a nice difference, had mine done at jms and its well worth it.
personally i never really let my own tyres go lower than about 3mm, theres a massive drop in performance from 4mm down to 2mm surprisingly. cant remember how much exactly as it was years ago when i was fitting tyres, but some thing along the lines of 30-40%.
If you go for a pair, new ones onto...
ill get pics of mine tomorrow, flip out dvd/sat nav jobbie. the place that fitted it managed to crack the silver h/unit surround but didnt bother worrying about it as they charged less than they were supposed to, to fit it.
I use mine a fair bit, i.e when my sons in the car or on a long journey...
