Again, depends on the car. A 16V engine shouldn't be less reliable than an 8V just because it has more valve train components.

Seen that with the front all taped up, it looks stupid though. Doesn't stop crap spraying up the back neither.

Prices depend on the car anyway. Bits for a 4cyl 16V clio would be less than say a 4cyl 8V BMW.

What do you lot do about having to drive your car down to a show after giving it a good clean, as it's going to get mucky again? Is there anything you take down with you to clean the car with?

sorry to drag this thread up. But Adrian Flux sent my dad an renewal quote and in small writing it has hidden charges bumping up the price by 100+ quid to what the original quote was. He has got a better quote with swinton.
