Home cinema systems (projectors and screens)

I've a projector and a pull down screen but I never use them. I did once project on to my neighbours white rendered wall though. This would be ideal for sport in the summer.

    Front Shortened number plate

Smaller plates are legal providing you retain the minimum spacing around the characters and don't make the characters smaller. My 205 here is a legal example:

Halfords auto centre - tyre deals

The best way to approach that is to turn up on a Friday afternoon/Saturday morning, parking up out the way and wandering in to the actual bays and asking a younger chap if he'd do you a deal for cash. What also helps, is if you turn up with the wheels and tyres in your boot so they can just...

Need a spreader to fit roll cage

Wood and a bottle jack FTW Although that is some way out so rather than push it out and have the force trying to pull it back in, I'd advise removing it from the car and trying to bend it slightly first.

    Race Battery

Sweet talk an electrician. They will have a tool. There are ebay sellers who will sell you lengths of cable and add ends.

    Race Battery

For reference - 135A cable is 20mm2 (~4AWG) and is approx 9.5mm thick overall with insulation. Some get confused with the thickness of cable and don't realise it's sold as mm2.

    Ben in his 430?

Sorry if I caused offence with the pauper reference. That was a Focus stereotype opposed to being aimed at you directly.

    Ben in his 430?

Bet he gets back and thinks 'I parked out the way, the other end of the carpark and some pauper comes and dumps their Focus next to me.'

    Anyone willing to help?

My lack of a Facebook account clearly hasn't helped in the above. I looked again to check they weren't random and I was unlucky. When I clicked on your photos it showed exactly what I meant in fact. It was the photo of your recent walk and the images that followed that I was looking at. As...

    Anyone willing to help?

I'd suggest mixing up the genre a bit. You've clearly got a talent but the continual car shots gradually lost my interest - especially after opening on a marvelous landscape shot. If you are aiming your market at car enthusiasts then perhaps I'm not being very helpful, but a mixture of cars...

    Race Battery

They will do the PVR22 battery alone for £39.99 if you can make a bracket yourself. Buy cheap buy twice always bites me in the ass so I will spend the extra £30 and get the PC680

    Race Battery

All Powervamp can tell me is the PVR22 is chinese made and the Odyssey PC680 is US made and apparently holds a better charge.

    Race Battery

When Powervamp get back to me I will update this thread. I imagine they have kept costs down by having batteries rebranded for themselves. The quality may differ greatly/slightly or not at all. I've asked for information on the differences.

Christ this thread is ideal. Searched on here for Odyssey PC680 to ask exact the same question - what's the difference between the 2 to double the price? PC680 from Powervamp = £99 delivered with free bracket on ebay. The Clubsport from the same company = £49 delivered with a free bracket...

    Clio 172 Engine Removal?? Help!!

There is a guide on here for removal. You will need to become a paid member to be able to view it I believe. Although to be honest, get yourself an engine crane and you'll easily see how it is mounted to the shell when you start to remove the ancilleries like the pas pipes and clutch cable...

    iPhone washing machine problem. Fixable?

I had no rice so I put an iphone in a bowl of cashew nuts mixed with Trill 80/20 in an airing cupboard. Similarly to rice, probably made absolutely no difference whatsoever and it was purely the airing cupboards gentle heat that did it, but cashew nuts are worth a shot. My money would be on...

Wonder Wheels products cheap at Halfords (some stuff £1)

For us 'once a quarter, one bucket washers' I'd imagine most of it will do just fine. I've got white alloys and if the wheel sealer stuff makes it even slightly easier to wash each time, then brilliant. I've a couple of white cars so I picked up some Turtle Wax white wax in a spray bottle. I...

    Cambelt should I change?

It's a rubber belt, not a stopwatch, so it won't know it's 'alright' for another 5 months. You'll get belts that go before the 5 years and you'll get cars that will surpass that and last much longer. All you can do is try and follow/beat the interval and hope for the best to be honest.

Anyone still play MW3? [Xbox 360]

Funny you should ask. I found my copy on Xmas day when looking for a Kinnect game. I only played it for a few minutes when it was released and left it - got obliterated online. I've also got Ghosts still sealed from last year! So I really should get the use out if them and see if I can get into...
