Idea being if your clio pulls into a car park sounding like a beast with it's roaring K&N, etc... it's more likely to attract chavs... ...also, if ur fitting an induction kit, it also pigeon holes you as a "fast" driver... -Akira

You got it on coilovers? No way dude! Definately gonna have to go to airfield or something, I dont see too much point in ploughing money into a track day in British winter... more likely to go off and at the least mess up ur paintwork in the gravel! but something cheap like an airfield... it...

Make sure ur wheels are still fully under ur arches though.... or plod will have you :) But yea, basicly, a wider setup will basicly give you more stability and traction, probably most noticeable at 50-60mph long-bends on country roads. Coupled with a low centre of gravity and you're away...
