You can get a kit which has the 2 slider bolts+rubbers+the 2 little bolts for just over a tenner.. so you could just clean it out and 'reseal' it?

Im pretty sure you have the same calipers as a valver/williams and most non-RS newer shape clios. I know that the calipers I have on my valver I got from a mk2 ph1 1.4 16v.

Think I know what you mean, if its like my valver I had a bit on the caliper with like a tiny tube sticking out which the hose screwed onto, whereas other kits I've seen attach differently :S

You on WC? Problem is the bottom of the box isnt meeting the engine so the whole flywheel is visible there's about an inch gap between the bottom of the box and the engine :( so I need those extra bolts I think

Can you buy those double ended bolts which screw into the bottom of the box and also have a thread on the other end for attaching to the engine? Only my box is missing them all and its rather undriveable without them :(

Lol a few quid? More like nearly 100 quid! And is your box a re-con or just a 2nd hand box that was working when taken out?

There some guy on ebay selling re-con boxes for £295 not sure about warranty though.

Not nessacarily true! And £205 is a lot to pay for a valver box and then im guessing you have delivery as well?

Hey mate im in Bristol also and just bought a renault 19 16v box from ebay for about £72+courier for £30 so £100 all in. The guy said it was in good working condition when it was removed and if its shagged when I put it on obv he'll be getting it back. Unfortunately unless you're willing to pay...

Im sure cover varies with imports, best off ringing renault with ure reg they'll tell you.

Just find any competant welder in ure area and pay them to do it, simple job but make sure they weld it all the way round or it could happen again. Ideally ud wanna take it out the car first...

If you worry about mpg that much go buy a DCI lol

Should never use copper grease on caliper slide pins (I assume thats what you're on about) it destroys the rubber.

Is it just a case of whipping the springs on and off, anything hard involved?
